Huang Yu (1916.11.7-2013.5.24), a famous director. He is one of the most important directors of Great Wall company from 1950s to 1970s, and also the director with the most works. Since 1953, he directed his first work "flower world", and in the past 30 years, he also directed more than 30 films, such as "inspector", "rich family", "women's apartment", "golden age", "Crouching Tiger Village", "YINGSHANHONG" and large-scale documentaries "under Wuyishan" and "Chaomei scenery", which have made great contributions to the development of Great Wall company.
Life
Born in Shanghai in 1916, Huang Yu, a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, has been fond of movies since he was a child. In 1937, he took part in the actor training class of Shanghai Star Company, and has been closely associated with movies ever since. After the completion of the training course, he worked as an actor, drama director and assistant director in Datong, Guohua, Jinxing, Huaying and other film companies. He has starred in many films such as reunion, spring thunder, struggle, modern women and Qinhuai family. In 1950, the great wall film production company was established, and Huang Yu became the basic director of the company. Since then, he has been working in the Great Wall company until he retired in the early 1980s. Huang Yu is full of talents, and he has a good command of all kinds of subjects. His adaptation of the foreign famous work "inspector" and the first puppet play "Lotus Fairy" have all set a good example. He and his wife, Wu Peirong, have always been known as the silver model couple. They also co directed films such as "little master", "iron foot horse eye immortal belly" and "feifeng Qianlong". Huang Yu is also a typical Chinese intellectual. He loves and is loyal to film art. He has noble patriotic sentiment and is open-minded. He is deeply respected by his colleagues and younger generation. In his later years, he was still concerned about the society and the development of Hong Kong and mainland films. He served as the director, consultant and honorary consultant of the South China Federation of filmmakers. died of illness in the early hours of May 24, 2013 at the age of 97.
