Early experience

Xu Jiaying was born in Hualian County, Taiwan Province in 1984. When she grew up, she lived in Taichung. Her father was a retired Air Force ground service officer, and her mother was a kindergarten teacher. Xu Jiaying was the third child in her family.

In 1992, when she was in primary school, Xu Jiaying began to learn the piano, and along with her sister, she liked the idols Guo Fucheng, Liu Dehua and the tigers. She also began to like pop music, so she began her own musical life.

In 1997, when she was in junior high school, Xu Jiaying took part in the school singing competition and won the second place. At the same time, she began to like rock music with her brother, and drew creative energy from the music of Mayday, Sheryl Crow, oasis and Travis. On the other hand, she began to teach herself the singing and voice conversion skills of black female singers such as Aretha Franklin and Des'ree.

Acting experience

At the end of September 2019, Xu Jiaying successively released the series EP of "Xu Jiaying's school days", which includes 12 pieces of full composition of her student days, and these works also laid the foundation for her music growth.

Personal life

On April 22, 2017, at Xu Jiaying's solo concert in Taipei, her boyfriend, Bill Jia, sent her yellow roses as a support. On July 27, 2020, Xu Jiaying announced that she was pregnant. On December 6 of the same year, Xu Jiaying officially gave birth to a son.
