In 1978, he was admitted to Zhejiang Kunqu Opera Troupe to study Kunqu opera performance. Gong Wenwu, an old student, followed Zhou Chuanying, Bao chuanduo, a national treasure of Kunqu Opera, and Ji Zhenhua, a contemporary old student performance artist of Kunqu Opera. He practiced and performed dozens of traditional and new Kunqu Opera codes, such as "shi5guan" and "Changsheng Palace". In 1983, he was an actor in Kun Opera Company. In 1990, Xing Minshan began his acting career in his first TV play "wusheng taidou". Personal life
Xing Minshan began to study Kunqu Opera at the age of 12, focusing on martial arts students. When she was 13 years old, she met her wife Niu Xiaoqing at the theater school. Niu Xiaoqing was six years younger than Xing Minshan and was the daughter of Xing Minshan's teacher. They had a son named Xing Yiqing.
