Wang Jixian, a native of Beijing, was born in May 1933. He was admitted to the painting department of the Central Academy of fine arts at the age of 17.
After graduation in 1953, he was assigned to Changchun Film Studio to work in film art design, and transferred to Beijing Film Studio in 1979. He has successively worked for "spring water flows", "aunts and aunts of Huangtupo", "butterfly dream of Baogong sankan", Modern Peking Opera "surprise attack on the white tiger regiment", war films "ten days and seven nights", "independent brigade", "rolling wheels" and "Cai Wenji", "Princess Peacock", "acting mayor", "double male club", "last emperor", "big detective", "snow feud", etc《 "Burning Yuanmingyuan" and other films for art design. Among them, "Princess Peacock" is famous for its style of art design. It won a special award at Manila Film Festival, the first prize of Czech children's program in 1985, and the crystal butterfly love award. The last emperor won the "art director" award in 1988 Academy Awards. Now he is a member of China Film Association and China Film Art Association.
