Zhang Baoshan, male, was born in Leling City, Shandong Province in 1937. He graduated from Beijing Medical University (formerly Beijing Medical College) in 1961 and has been working in Peking University Hospital ever since.

He has studied in Imperial University of Japan twice, majoring in biliary surgery and endoscopic surgery, and has visited Japan and Korea more than ten times to participate in academic exchanges and visits. He has been engaged in biliary surgery and endoscopic surgery all his life. He is a famous professor of endoscopic surgery in China, and is known as the pioneer of choledochoscope technology in China. At present, he has been awarded as the designated expert of scientific and technological achievements appraisal at the ministerial level of Ministry of health; he is also the deputy director of surgical endoscopy group of Chinese Medical Association; he is also the visiting professor of Shougang Hospital of Peking University, the consultant of Sino Japanese Friendship Hospital, Anzhen Hospital, the sixth hospital, aerospace general hospital and other five hospitals. He is also the deputy editor in chief of Chinese Journal of modern medicine, Chinese Journal of endoscopy, Chinese Journal of laparoscopy, and the editorial board member of 10 journals including Chinese Journal of practical surgery. He has written 5 books and published more than 40 papers (including one in Japan). in the field of biliary surgery and endoscopic surgery, we are specialized in the treatment of intractable hepatolithiasis. We have created the choledochoscope technology for the treatment of intractable hepatolithiasis by choledochoscope, invented the famous "comet sign law" of choledochoscope, and invented a number of medical patents, which has promoted the development of biliary surgery and leaped the intractable hepatolithiasis of biliary surgery from "incurable disease of benign disease" This technology is far ahead in China and won the second prize of the Ministry of Health Science and technology progress award, the second prize of the Ministry of education and the Beijing Science and technology progress award.
