Wei Xidi lives in Nanjing. Up to now, he has edited and published nearly ten film review collections, including the once only world film review Yearbook "film +" series (since 2002), as well as "screaming for Hitchcock", "watching movies in the back window", "Chinese film 2005", etc. The published collection of personal film essays is "undeleted documents". Since the first Chinese Film Media Award in 2000, Wei Xidi has been the judge of the award; since the 4th China independent film exhibition in 2007, he has been the judge of the award; in 2007, he also served as the judge of the young directors forum of Shanghai International Film Festival.
