Biography
Korean returned overseas Chinese was born in 1947 and grew up in Korea as a teenager. He began to learn Taekwondo at the age of 7. He became the youngest taekwondo coach at that time at the age of 17. He won a Taekwondo Championship in South Korea for three consecutive years from the age of 20. It is said that when Mr. Chiang Ching Kuo visited South Korea, South Korea sent master Tan to perform Taekwondo, so Mr. Chiang asked master Tan to develop in Taiwan. In 1970, he went to Taiwan to set up the "Republic of China Taekwondo committee". Winning the gold medal in Taiwan Taekwondo Olympic Games is related to master Tan's pioneering work. During his stay in Taiwan, he taught many people Taekwondo, including two famous kung fu movie stars mentioned below. At that time, because of Bruce Lee, Kungfu movies became very popular. Many film companies found people with real kungfu skills to make movies. In 1972, he co starred with 18-year-old rookie Lin Fengjiao in "Chaozhou angry man", and master Tan became very popular. In the following ten years, he acted in nearly 40 Kungfu movies, which became popular for a time. He often made eight movies a day, and didn't go home to sleep for 27 days at the peak. He won the title of "king of legs". I think the English nickname is more appropriate "flash legs". In the early 1980s, the trend of traditional kung fu films gradually declined. In 1982, he and Qin Han made the last film "the last breath". As a result, he ended his kung fu film career and went to Los Angeles to open his own Taekwondo Hall. When Liu Jiahui was very popular, Zeng Zhiwei gave him some tricks. Later, Shao's family closed down and had to take pictures of some rubbish characters. I feel a lot that ing has saved Master Tan's image in my heart. Since then, he has not appeared on the screen for more than 20 years. I can't stand it. He was interviewed in an English Kung Fu documentary filmed in Hong Kong in 1993. In "Kung Fu" in 2004, Stephen Chow revealed that he intended to let master Tan play the boss role of huoyun evil god, saying that he quit because of injury. In fact, maybe the main reason is that master Tan didn't want to take over the role after reading the script. Looking at huoyun, I feel lucky for master tan. I didn't destroy master Tan's usual heroic image in my heart. I'm going to cry for him to death after playing Kung Fu. It seems that after 2003, master Tan returned to Taiwan to develop his career. He was the president of Xilaijian company, promoting a kind of warm moxibustion self-treatment bed popular in South Korea. I sincerely wish him good luck and prosperity, but most of all, I hope he can play a comeback game on the big screen!
Signature moves
Standing on one leg
Constantly attacking with the left leg, the whole is full of balance, coordination, rhythm and beauty. It's absolutely unforgettable. Its legs are straight and high. It's like a standing horse with a side kick!
Introduction selection
Selection 1
In 1972, "angry man in Chaozhou" became a famous work, with the stunt of "gecko Gong" and Lin Fengjiao's first appearance on the screen, which should not be missed.
Selected 2
In 1975, the first film he made for Jiahe, the secret master, had a box office of 1.1 million yuan. It starred Mao Ying, a famous Kung Fu actress at that time. There were Hong Jinbao, Jackie Chan, yuanbiao, yuankui, and Yuanhua in it (the Dragon set lineup was a bit shocking, for the sake of dragon set, you must watch it). The second work of Jiahe, Shaolin gate, was the worst film I had ever seen characteristic. Master Tan's best movies are all made by Taiwan film companies. They may be able to better understand and grasp master Tan's performance characteristics.
Selected 3
In 1976, one of the most classic works of Nanquan Beibu Huo Yan Wang was co performed with Wang Dao, the image of Nanquan (he was also one of my favorite stars when I was a child), thus creating a long-lasting Kungfu film of this kind. Li zuonan is the director of this film. He directed many kung fu movies in the 1970s, which is worth remembering.
Selection 4
In 1977, duel to the sun tower was the most impressive movie when I was a child. Master Tan entered the tower and challenged many experts to fight up one by one, which made my blood boil. The specific plot is too long to say. This should be a copy of Bruce Lee's movie plot, but where can I know about Bruce Lee at that time!
Highlights 5
In 1977, "Yongzheng died in Shaolin gate" starred together with Huang Jiada and Jialing (female). I still believe that Yongzheng was assassinated by Lu siniang, and I remember that Yongzheng was headless in the end. For the first time, I know the story of LV siniang, Gan Fengchi and Bai taiguan. It's a pity that I don't have such a good remake theme!!!
Selected 6
In 1978, "dragon boxing snake hand fight spider" and Li zuonan, Wang Dao cooperation again, very classic! As a result, when I was a child, my friends would always recruit people, and snake hands were popular for a time. I remember the two moves "lazy snake stretching waist" and "water snake crossing the river".
Selected 7
In 1978, Hu Huiqian's bloody battle with Xi Chan Temple starred Qi champion. I haven't seen this film, but it is said that it is a masterpiece of his leg skills. It shows master Tan's extraordinary leg skills in many ways. (I'm so excited after watching this film. Master Tan plays Gao Jinzhong, a villain in white as snow. His leg technique is superb. Absolutely in front of the teaching film of Taekwondo, you can do your best
Selected 8
In 1979, flesh and blood Mill Co starred with David Jiang, Dilong and other stars. This time, master Tan rarely played a villain, and finally came out to fight against David Jiang in the mill. It was quite wonderful. I didn't remember David Jiang at that time. I was too young to remember. I only knew master tan. The director of this film is Bao Xueli, and the martial arts director yuan Xiangren is not bad.
Other co productions with Meng Fei, such as Fang Shiyu series, snake and crane's heart shaking Jiuzhou, Taiji Bajiao, and the king of the South and North legs, are excellent.
