In 1952, he was admitted to the translation section of Shanghai Film Studio and began to work in film translation and dubbing. At that time, although he only played various supporting roles, he still carefully pondered every line, such as the blacksmith in lonely star blood and tears. His plays were rare, but he left a deep impression on his colleagues. At the same time, reading a lot of masterpieces, theory books and learning from other actors, this stage laid a good foundation for the later dubbing career.

In 1959, in order to present a gift to the upcoming third National People's Congress of literary and art circles, Shanghai Film Studio translated and produced the Democratic German film conspiracy and love. Bicker and Ferdinand, the male protagonist, make people feel that the voice is bright, charming and delicate. The dubbing is in line with the feelings of the characters in the film.

Therefore, in the 1960s and 1970s, he voiced many leading actors in romantic films, such as the Spanish envoy in qionggong love history, the amnesiac Colonel Smith in Yuanmeng revisit, and the young general secretary in idiot who was willing to accept the general's mistress as his new wife for money.

The most famous work of this stage is his dubbing in the sound of music, Colonel von Trapp. The connection between the duet and the lines is very well handled. After the film was released, it became popular all over the country and is still regarded as one of the classics of translated films.

Late 1970s to early 1980s

From the late 1970s to the early 1980s, bicker began a new exploration, aiming at breaking through the typology of dubbing, changing from a love story hero with delicate feelings to a character with integrity, perseverance and wisdom. During this period, bicker completed his classic dubbing of two characters: bolo, the Belgian detective in the tragedy on the Nile, and ducudon, the prosecutor in pursuit.

In addition, bicker also participated in the dubbing of many animated films produced by Shanghai art film studio, such as Li Jing in Nezha naohai, Yuan Gong in the tales of the book of heaven, and the philosophical bird in the king and the bird. In particular, in the cartoon "the story of Afanti", Afanti uses a humble and submissive voice with hidden ridicule and satire, which fully shows Afanti's teasing of landlords and usurers; the match between Afanti and Lord Bayi, which he matches with another dubbing master Qiu Yuefeng, is even more wonderful.

Bick is also a narrator in Shaolin Temple and Spartacus. He devoted himself to helping and tutoring young actors. He was good at inspiring them and cherishing their emotions. At the same time, he was very strict and meticulous. Reminiscence of characters

In the late 1980s, bick suffered from throat disease, which forced him to leave the career of dubbing completely. Kensei Takakura invited him to dub the Chinese version of his new film "the railroad man". Unexpectedly, this wish has become a pity that can no longer be realized: at this time, bick has been unable to breathe. He said helplessly: "if you are forced to match, you will damage the image created by Mr. Takakura. If you can't pass by yourself, how can you show it to others? "

He was hospitalized for pulmonary failure. In order to save his life, the doctor had to cut his trachea. From then on, he couldn't speak any more. When he was ill, he made mouth shapes for young actors, did translation, and guided them by writing on paper.

When bicker was seriously ill, Su Xiu came to Shanghai from Hangzhou to visit bicker. He was very thin and had to rely on the ventilator to support his life due to the complete loss of respiratory function. However, he had a clear mind and active thinking, and he still remembered a lot of the past. But when I went to see him later, he was already out of shape. The doctor said that he was deaf and swollen after he was rescued last time, but he still understood. Su Xiu wrote on the board, "the doctor said you are much better than a while ago." With a wry smile and a shake, he clearly said, "impossible."
