Mei Xi
Mei Xi (1914-1983) was the grandson of Mei Baolu, the second son of Mei Chengdong. Meiqian (1916-2002) is the grandson of Mei Baochen, the fourth son of Mei Chengdong. Chinese film actors and directors. He grew up in Tianjin, loved sports since childhood, and developed a tall and burly figure. He was once employed as a PE teacher in a middle school in Beiping. Later, he came to Shanghai to become an actor. For this reason, he found Fei Mu, but the film company rejected him because he was too tall. In 1933, he was finally accepted by the star film company and trained in the actor Development Institute of the company. After graduation, he played an important role in director Li Pingqian's "bumper year" and achieved great success.
Profile
From 1934 to 1936, he starred in homesickness, falling flower season, loyal soul and women's rights, which reflected mediocrity. Later, he took part in the play Sai Jinhua (Drama) in the "1940s drama club" organized by Jinshan and others, which attracted the attention of famous directors. In 1936, he starred in the song of everlasting regret, which was edited and directed by Shi Dongshan, in Xinhua film company. His performance in the film was well received. The film was very popular, and Mei Xi began to become popular in the film world.
In 1937, Mei Xi joined Lianhua film company at the invitation of CAI Chusheng. In "Lianhua", he starred in "spring to the world" directed by Sun Yu, and also shot such films as "so prosperous", "Yihai scenery 3: song and dance class", "Lianhua Symphony 1: twenty cents", "Lianhua Symphony 7: Madman's Rhapsody", etc. In 1938, he joined the Xinhua film company run by Zhang Shankun. From 1938 to 1942 was his golden age. He starred in more than 30 films, such as "Xinhua", "Huaxin", "Huacheng" and "Yihua". Among them, "beggars' money" and "Mulan joining the army" were all popular. Mulan joining the army "made Mei Xi the most popular young man of that year. During the Anti Japanese War, he made reactionary films and was criticized. After that, he quit the film industry and engaged in business. However, he failed in the market and had to return to the film industry in 1948. He also made films such as "the murder of a foggy night" and "heartbroken Acacia". After the liberation of Beiping, he came to Beiping and joined the literary and Art Troupe. He performed white haired girl (Drama) and Liu Hulan (Drama). In 1963, he was transferred to Beijing Film Studio as a director. He took part in the shooting of "storm", "after the armistice" and other films. In 1979, he shot "ruyanfei" in Xi'an Film Studio. He died in Beijing in 1983.
