Dong Xingji
Dong Xingji (April 8, 1929 - June 21, 1983), a Chinese Dramatist, member of China Dramatist Association, director of Beijing Opera Association, was once a member of the Art Committee of Beijing People's Art Theatre.
Character experience
After graduating from high school, Dong Xingji stepped into the drama world and created many kinds of artistic images in the drama "Thunderstorm", "sunrise", "Beijinger", "miser" and so on.
In the late autumn of 1981, he was suffering from mental depression due to difficulties in his work. He was discharged from Anding Hospital after treatment. In June of the same year, he went to Yangzhou with his wife to shoot an episode of "Wuji country" in journey to the West for CCTV. By the thin West Lake, he took off the role of "blood is always hot" and appeared in "Liao Zhongkai".
From September 1982 to February 1983, Dong Xingji seriously filmed in the crew. He not only studied the script in depth, but also carefully studied the characters' lines and actions. Many details in the film were designed by Dong Xingji after careful study of the characters' personality and psychology.
This hard-working, hard-working, pursuing and talented artist also completed the book "zizanpu still fighting for autumn heat" in the form of "Diary excerpt" in the process of shooting. The book summarizes the theory with practical value and records the actor's positive and negative experience in making films. It covers a wide range and enables readers to appreciate the actor's meticulous life.
Dong Xingji successfully portrayed the brilliant image of Liao Zhongkai in Liao Zhongkai, and won the best actor award of the fourth Golden Rooster film award.
In June 1983, Dong Xingji committed suicide due to depression. There are two theories about the causes of suicide, one is that he failed to play the leading role in Xianheng Hotel, the other is that his daughter deviated from his will and went to the nightclub in Guangzhou to sing.
