Yi-Min
Yiming, Chinese film writer and director. His original name was Yi Renzhi, and his pen names were Chen Yi, Qi Yang, Jiang Bu, Ruan Qian, etc. Born in June 1913 in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, the family is poor. He was expelled from middle school for taking part in the student movement. In 1935, he went to Shanghai, worked as an auditor in Fudan University, and began to write film reviews and drama reviews. In 1936, he entered the star film company for publicity, and played a role in the film "crossroads". In 1938, he joined the Chinese film studio and took part in the film publication Anti Japanese war film. In 1949, he finished his directorial debut in Northeast film studio, the first anti feature film invisible front in New China. He joined the Beijing Film Studio the next year, creating screenplays such as this is the evidence, adapting screenplays such as Xinfang and old stories in the south of the city.
Early career
Yi Ming, pseudonym Chen Yi. In 1936, he joined the Publicity Department of star film company and played a role in the movie "the streets of the cross". Later, he joined the national salvation drama team of Shanghai literary and art circles. In 1938, he came to Wuhan, joined the Chinese film studio, and participated in the film publication Anti Japanese war film. In the autumn of the same year, he went to Yan'an to study in the advanced class of Shanbei public school. After graduation, he worked in the Propaganda Department of the General Political Department of the Eighth Route Army, Jiefang Daily, Yan'an cultural and anti Japanese Association and Academia Sinica. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, Yiming purchased a number of film equipment for Yan'an. In 1946, he participated in the preparation of Yan'an film studio, and cooperated with Chen Bo'er in the creation of the screenplay "heroes of labor in the border region (unfinished)". Yi Ming was the first director, ready to move it to the screen. Although it was not completed due to the limited conditions, he accumulated a lot of experience in this directing practice.
Career in old age
In 1947, he entered the Northeast film studio as a director. He wrote the book "film director's briefing". In 1949, he completed his first feature film invisible front, which is the first thrilling anti special film in New China. In 1950, he joined the Beijing Film Studio and created screenplays such as "this is the evidence". In the early 1960s, he cooperated with Ke Ling to adapt Xia Yan's play "Xinfang", completed the adaptation of Lao She's play "Quanjiafu", and wrote the documentary film "Tongqiang Tiebi". Later, he directed two short stage art films "we are comrades" and "we are comrades"《 Buy cattle. In 1980, he directed the film "pawns in the revolutionary army", which is a film to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the 1911 Revolution. The scene is real and touching. After it was released, the repercussions are strong. In 1981, he adapted the novel "old story in the south of the city" into a screenplay, which was later moved to the screen by Shanghai Film Studio. Yiming condensed the original novel, and the work is simple and concise. In the 1990s, in order to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the left-wing film movement, he wrote the book "selected works of Chinese film reviews in the 1930s", which made great contributions to the Chinese film industry. Yiming died in 1995. He was 82 years old.
