Character evaluation
In "Taiwan's new new movies", Huang Chaoliang shows his personal characteristics with his unique film narration. Whether it is his films "summer Concerto", "stars in the day", or "ruffian meets love" and "great joy is coming", Huang Chaoliang continues the humorous, relaxed and witty style of Taiwan movies, or highlights Taiwan's local customs in youth narration, or It portrays the image of Taiwan natives in the slightly comic stories. In the film summer Concerto, Huang Chaoliang uses a natural and beautiful image style and fresh and simple narrative rhythm to continue the consistent fresh and pure narrative style of youth movies in Taiwan movies, with strong narrative characteristics of Huang Chaoliang's personal imprint. Compared with the previous "Taiwan new film" directors, he has abandoned the grand narrative of the intersection of country, history and individual. Instead, he intersperses the theme of growth in Taiwan's special historical time and space, and presents it with a unique image, emphasizing the locality of Taiwan Natives (review of Journal of Guizhou University).
