Li Sandai is a simple and straightforward young worker with the characteristics of the times. Because of the social trend of thought at that time, the film also embodies some conceptual things in political life, but it basically puts the personality description of the characters in the first place, which makes people feel credible. As far as a work directed by a young director independently for the first time is concerned, the creation of this film is relatively successful and has been generally praised. After that, Shi Daqian edited and directed the red basket, which produced great repercussions again. In 1973, Shi Daqian was transferred to Xi'an Film Studio as a director and participated in the editing and directing of many films. Among them, black faced man directed in 1980 is a better one. Shi Daqian often goes deep into his life. Most of his films are fresh and bright in style, simple and delicate in technique, rich in flavor of life and strong in sense of the times. After 1981, Shi Daqian devoted himself to the study of film theory, combined with the practice of film art, and successively published some theoretical articles to discuss the problems of film art.
