Su Feng, female, formerly known as Tao Wanrong. Born in Macheng, Hubei Province on May 1, 1916, joined the revolution in 1929 and was a female general of the Red Army. She died in Dalian on December 30, 1995. Buried in Macheng cemetery.

Su Feng, female, formerly known as Tao Wanrong. Born in Macheng, Hubei Province on May 1, 1916, he took part in the revolution in 1929. In the spring of 1930, he was transferred to the Macheng County Committee of the Communist Party of China. In the autumn of the same year, he entered the radio training class of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army. In December 1932, he joined the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' red army in the Han River and yueba mountain, and participated in the establishment of the Sichuan Shaanxi revolutionary base. In March 1933, the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army set up the women's independent battalion in Tongjiang. Su Feng, as the leader of the women's propaganda team of the Political Department of the Fourth Front Army of the Red Army, became the commander of the women's independent battalion. He was only 17 years old.
The main tasks of the women's independent battalion are: guard, capture bandits, search mountains, clean the battlefield, escort and transport ammunition and food. Shortly after the establishment of the women's independent camp, it won a big victory in yinglongshan, Tongjiang County, annihilating a regiment of Tian Songyao of the Sichuan army, and was praised by the head of the headquarters. In March 1934, women cadres from Tongnanba and other places transferred to the central district were gathered to form the women's independent League in Changchi and hold the post of head of the league. There are four battalions in the women's Independence League, with more than 1000 women soldiers. Under the leadership and command of Su Feng, the women's independent regiment had won many battles, such as defending organs, eliminating bandits, cooperating with the main Red Army, transporting weapons, ammunition and sick and wounded. The story of "a company's women's army handed over a regiment of white bandits' guns" spread all over the Sichuan Shaanxi Soviet area. In April 1935, when the red army withdrew from the Sichuan Shaanxi Soviet Area, the women's independent regiment led by Su Feng and Zhang qinqiu became the women's independent division of the Fourth Front Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army and participated in the world-famous Long March.
Outstanding contribution
During the Anti Japanese War, Su Feng studied and worked in Northern Shaanxi public school, anti Japanese military and Political University, central Marxism Leninism college and CPC Central Party school. He has successively served as the leader of the female team of Yan'an Shanbei public school, the leader of the female team of Anti Japanese military and Political University, the political instructor of the headquarters of Shandong column, the political instructor of the security department and Logistics Department of Shandong military region, and the Secretary of the general branch.
During the war of liberation, from Yan'an to Shandong and then to Northeast China, he served as political assistant and general branch secretary of the team directly under the South Manchu military region, deputy section chief of the Security Department of the Political Department of the South Manchu military region, member of the women's Committee of the South Manchu branch, section chief, director and deputy director of the Public Security Department of Liaoning, Northern Liaoning and Western Liaoning, deputy director of Shenyang 112 factory, and vice president of Liaoning Higher People's court. After returning to work in 1976, he successively served as deputy director of Dalian Municipal Health Bureau, deputy Procurator General of Dalian municipal procuratorate, vice chairman of the fifth Dalian Municipal Committee of CPPCC, and member of the fourth Liaoning Provincial Committee of CPPCC. He died in Dalian on December 30, 1995. Buried in Macheng cemetery.
