Quotations
"The DPP suffered an unprecedented defeat in this election. Frustration is common in life. The development of every organization or nation can not always be successful. What matters is whether we have the courage to face our own weakness and mistakes, and whether we have the ability to make profound introspection and review. If we have such ability and courage, then every failure is an opportunity for future success. " (on the morning of December 16, 2005, Lin Yixiong published the first paragraph of his open letter to DPP comrades: genuine and sincere reflection is the chance for success.)
"The general people should stand in the position of the masters of the country and keep a detached position of" choosing to support or abandon "all kinds of political parties at any time. Therefore, a political party has only temporary supporters, not permanent members. Otherwise, when the ordinary people become party members of each political party, each political party will become a group against the people, and the people will lose their master's aloofness. " (on January 24, 2006, Lin Yixiong announced his withdrawal from the Democratic Progressive Party in an open letter to be the master of a democratic country forever. In the open letter, Lin Yixiong believes that "the political party of an ideal democratic country" should have three characteristics, and this is the second one.)
"It doesn't matter to join the United Nations under any dignified name, as long as it's not called" shit. " (on December 19, 2007, Lin Yixiong said that the name of the referendum on joining the United Nations is different from that of the referendum on returning to the United Nations, but there is little difference between them. He also said that the people should receive and vote for the two referendums to let the international community know that "Taiwan wants to join the United Nations.")
