Mr. Guo Jialin gave up the opportunity to go abroad and was determined to devote himself to education and cultivate new economic talents for the Communist Party. He has successively taught trade economy, economic geography, currency systems of various countries, modern economic history of China, world market situation, history of economic theory and other courses in Hangzhou Zhijiang University, Shanghai University of Finance and economics, etc. These courses involve a wide range of knowledge, but he can always explain in simple terms very thoroughly, and is very popular with students. He often said that he wanted to cultivate those who had stopped studying during the ten years of turmoil. In teaching, he emphasized teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, attached great importance to individual guidance and help for students, and showed great concern for and care for the students who worked hard. He lent them books that he had collected for many years and could not buy, taught them his own reading and writing methods, and encouraged young people to surpass themselves.
