Michael Ning, born on November 5, 1979, is a Hong Kong actor and guitarist. Graduated from the school of drama, Hong Kong Academy for performing arts.
In 2000, he took part in the stage play "Madame Mademoiselle" and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Comedy / farce) in the 9th Hong Kong Stage Drama Award. In 2005, the band "Zhu Lingling" was formed with friends. In 2007, Zhu Lingling released his first music album "stagedive", which won the silver prize of the new hit group of Xincheng and the new force group of "Chizha music pop list".
In 2015, Bai only won the best supporting actor award of the 52nd Taiwan Film Golden Horse Award, the best actor award of the 22nd Hong Kong Film Critics Association Award, the best supporting actor award and the best new actor award of the 35th Hong Kong Film Awards.
Early experience
Bai Zhi graduated from the school of drama, Hong Kong Academy for performing arts in 2003. After graduation, he joined the Sino British troupe as a full-time actor and participated in most performances of the troupe. Since he had never been in touch with stage drama before, he gave himself the stage name of "white paper", and later changed to "only" because of too many strokes.
Acting experience
In 2000, he took part in the stage play "Madame Mademoiselle" and played the servant beside the hero. He didn't have half a line, but relied on his body movements to express his emotions and reactions. With this role, Bai was nominated for Best Supporting Actor (Comedy / farce) at the 9th Hong Kong Stage Drama Awards for the first time.
In 2005, he took part in Nightingale, which was co performed with a British theatre company, and made its debut in Hong Kong, which was loved by the audience. The British troupe then toured Europe. Shortly after returning to Hong Kong from his European performance, Bai Zhi decided to leave the company and develop into the music industry. In the same year, he formed the band "Zhu Lingling" with his friends. For many years, Bai only acted as a member of "Zhu Lingling".
In 2006, he participated in the stage play "Fangcao campus" and won the best supporting actor (Comedy / farce) Award in the 15th Hong Kong Stage Drama Award.
In 2007, Zhu Lingling released her first album "stagedive". In the same year, Zhu Lingling won the bronze award of Xincheng Jinbang's new debut group at the Xincheng Jinbang award ceremony and the silver award of Xincheng Jinbang's new force group at the award ceremony of the famous music pop list.
In 2008, Zhu Lingling won the best new ensemble award of the 8th Chinese Music Media Award for her album "stagedive". In the same year, he took part in the stage plays "from bicycle to motorcycle to band" and "see ideal beyond again".
In 2009, Zhu Lingling released his second music album "good by bad by". In the same year, he took part in the stage play show: Eighteen poor people in Xiaolin, which was adapted from Shakespeare's play a midsummer night's dream.
In 2012, Zhu Lingling was nominated for the best original lyrics of the 21st Hong Kong Stage Drama Award for her theme song in the stage play "a snowy night of dreams" produced by the Chinese and British troupes.
In 2014, he participated in the musical stage play "Q freak Avenue" produced by windmill grass troupe and was nominated for the best overall performance of the 23rd Hong Kong Stage Drama Award. In the same year, he starred in Weng Ziguang's film "stepping on blood to search for plum blossom", playing a cold-blooded truck driver who dismembered a corpse. This is his first time in the film. Bai won the best supporting actor award of the 52nd Taiwan Film Golden Horse Award, the best actor award of the 22nd Hong Kong Film Critics Association Award, the best supporting actor award and the best new actor award of the 35th Hong Kong Film Awards.
In 2015, he participated in windmill grass troupe to produce the stage play "the struggle of busy and blind" directed by Chen Shuxi, which was nominated for the best overall performance of the 25th Hong Kong Stage Drama Award. Bai only claimed to find a way out of the low tide during his participation in the play.
In 2016, he participated in the production of the stage play "Wei Zhi Su" directed by Huang Zhilong. In the same year, he took part in the music and love movie "music for love" directed by Feng Zhiqiang.
In October 2020, Bai Zhi's movie hand cigarette, starring Lin Jiadong, Taibao, Yuan Fuhua and Qian Xiaohao, released the latest notice.

Character evaluation
Bai is only a funny man outside the play. His exaggerated body language and funny modeling are actually close to his real character (t talk about review). Bai Zhi's character is bright and frank. (review of Lianhe Zaobao). Bai only plays Ding Zicong in stepping on blood to seek plum blossom. Through his monologue alone, he shows the complex and dark layers of the character. His calm tone makes people feel the horror of the crime process. It seems not surprising that he has won more than one performance award besides the Golden Horse Award (Ta Kung Pao review).
