He Tian (1908-november 6, 2004), Han nationality, born in Guangfu, was born in yingtangfang, Yuexi Township, Shilou Town, Panyu city, Guangdong Province, China. He was one of the founders of Hang Seng Bank in Hong Kong. In the 1930s, he started Hang Seng Bank with Lin Bingyan, he shanheng, Liang Zhiwei and Sheng Chunlin.
He Tian joined Hang Seng Bank of Hong Kong Limited (formerly Hang Seng Bank) in 1933. He served as director and general manager in 1953 and vice chairman of Hang Seng Bank from 1967 to 1979. In April 2004, He Tian was appointed as a senior director of Hang Seng Bank and retired as an honorary consultant. Dr. he has been a director of a number of listed companies, including Miramar Hotel Enterprises Limited (Chairman), new world development limited, Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited, Xionggu group (Hong Kong) Limited and Jingfu Group Limited.
He is the permanent president of the United College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Council of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the school of Hang Seng business school, one of the founders of Tang ZhaoJian ho Tim charitable foundation, the permanent president of the ho clan association of Hong Kong, the Permanent Honorary President of the Panyu club in Hong Kong and the Permanent Honorary President of the gold and silver trade fair.
Dr. He Tian was awarded the honorary doctor of social sciences by the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1982, the honorary doctor of business administration by the City University of Hong Kong in 1997, the honorary doctor of law by the University of Hong Kong in 1999, the honorary citizen of Guangzhou, Panyu, Shunde and Foshan in 1988, 1993, 1995 and 2004, and the honorary citizen in November 1996 He served as a member of the selection committee of the first government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the people's Republic of China.
He Tian died in Hong Kong on November 6, 2004 at the age of 95.
