Fu Quanxiang

Fu Quanxiang, formerly known as sun Quanxiang (August 30, 1923 - October 24, 2017), was born in Houzhuang village, Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province. He is the representative inheritor of the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage projects of Shaoxing opera and a national first-class actor. He enjoys the special allowance of the state Council.

His father, sun Qinwen, was an amateur drummer. Later, he was a drummer in sijichun class.

His father once played a drum for Shi Yinhua, the leader of "three flowers and one beauty" in Yue Opera in the first half of the last century, but he was scolded by Shi Yinhua for his wrong tune, and then he died of depression. Therefore, it became a mental illness for Fu Quanxiang. Every time he mentioned it in the future, Fu Quanxiang would burst into tears.

1920s

On August 30, 1923 (July 19 of the lunar calendar), Fu Quanxiang was born in a dilapidated hut in Houzhuang village, Xixiang Township, Shengxian County, Zhejiang Province, named sun Quanxiang. Local people have a strong sense of feudalism. When they give birth to a daughter, they always add the word "Lang". For example, Yuan Xuefen is called "Fen Lang" and she is also called "Xiang Lang".

1930s

In 1933, he joined sijichun science class to study arts. His master is Bao Jinlong, an actor in Shaoxing culture and opera class. His classmates include yuan Xuefen, an actor in Tsing Yi, and Qian Miaohua, an actor from Laosheng.

In 1936, he performed in Hangzhou. In the autumn of the same year, he entered Shanghai for the first time and performed in laozha Grand Theater.

In the spring of 1938, he entered Shanghai again to perform. She often plays "nine Jin girl" and is favored by the audience.

1940s

In 1940, he became famous for playing hengniang in the new play hengniang.

In 1941, he performed together with Yin Guifang and Zhu shuizhao, and performed together with Zhu shuizhao in such plays as pan Fu Suo Fu, biography of white snake and jade dragonfly.

In the spring of 1943, the troupe changed its name to Quanxiang troupe and invited fan Ruijuan to perform "little sister dying" and "wujiapo" for the first time.

In August 1944, he and Xu Yulan performed six chapters of a floating life, gold and beauty, and red tears through the iron window.

In 1946, he performed with Zhang Guilian in Longmen Grand Theater.

In 1947, she took part in the joint benefit performance organized by the "ten sisters" of Shanghai Yue Opera circle for the purpose of organizing Shanghai Yue opera school and experimental theater, and played the role of palace maid Dai Ying in the drama "love between mountains and rivers".

In 1947, he cooperated with fan Ruijuan to form Dongshan Yueyi society, and performed the new ancient costume drama Tianya Meng, Li Chuang Wang, the traditional drama Liang Zhu Ai Shi and four beauties.

In 1948, he joined the Fanghua Yue Opera Troupe and performed peach blossom fan, Lu man and gone with the wind with Yin Guifang.

During the Spring Festival of 1949, she cooperated with fan Ruijuan for three times to reorganize Dongshan Yueyi society, and performed such plays as "update of ten thousand households", "accuse Zhang Chunfan" and "Peacock Flying Southeast" in star and Lido theaters.

1950s

In August 1950, he and fan Ruijuan led a delegation to Beijing to perform for the party and state leaders in Zhongnanhai. Chairman Mao Zedong saw their performance Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai for the first time. On August 1, 1951, he joined the East China Yueju experimental troupe with some colleagues of Dongshan Yueyi society.

In the winter of 1951, he went to northern Anhui to participate in the land reform.

In the winter of 1952, he participated in the first national opera performance conference and performed Zhu Yingtai in Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai, and won the first prize.

In 1954, she took part in the East China Opera Performance conference, and the Hongniang in the romance of the West Chamber won the first prize.

In 1955, he performed in democratic Germany and the Soviet Union with Shanghai Yue Opera Theater.

In 1956, he went to Korea to perform. That year, Liu Jian, who has been in long-distance love for many years, got married.

In 1957, he starred in Tian Han's drama love detective.

In 1958, "love detective" was made into a film. He was a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference and later a member of the Standing Committee.

He joined the Communist Party of China in 1959. Later, he starred in "sister Jiang", "two six" and other modern dramas.

1960s

In 1960, Beijing Yueju Opera Troupe performed Xiao Hu Lei, written by Ma Shaobo and Lu Jingyan, starring fan Ruijuan and Fu Quanxiang.

In June 1961, Shanghai Yue Opera Theater revised and reformed the traditional drama "Pearl Tower" and premiered it in the popular theater, with Fu Quanxiang playing the role of Chen cuie.

1970s

He was persecuted in the cultural revolution. After the cultural revolution, she returned to the stage and played the role of Gaoshan girl for the first time in the large-scale group play "long sky and loyal soul dance".

1980s

In 1980 and 1983, he performed Peacock Flying Southeast and biography of Li wa in Hong Kong twice.

Fu Quanxiang has a bright voice, a wide range of voice, a rich voice, and a combination of true and false voices. His tunes are full of ups and downs, and his performance is full of passion. He is good at Huashan opera, and he is good at using strong external movements to express the inner feelings of the characters. She is good at expressing tragic women with strong rebellious spirit.

It is known as "golden voice" and "coloratura soprano of Yueju Opera". The "Fu school" is an important school in Huadan of Yueju Opera. The singing, doing, reading and dancing of the "journey" of love detective are the most creative works of Fu school art.

Early 1950s

In cooperation with new music workers, she set a precedent for the first time in the series of "seeing you off at eighteen" and "Brocade". In love detective, I learned from the body movements of Dan roles in Sichuan Opera, and used the singing methods of Beijing Opera Cheng Yanqiu and Kunqu Opera Pingtan for reference in singing. The sharp voice is standard and clear, and the real and false voice is combined.

1980s

"Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai", "Peacock Flying Southeast", "biography of Li WA" and "Du Shiniang" starred by her have been shot into TV series successively, and Du Shiniang has also won the national TV series "flying sky Award" honorary award. She has published two books reflecting her artistic career, namely, Fu Quanxiang's artistic career and selected works of Fu Quanxiang's singing.
