Wang Kun was born in July 1958 in Tianjin. He studied in Tianjin Academy of fine arts from 1978 to 1982 and got a bachelor's degree. From 1989 to 1991, he studied in the oil painting workshop of the Central Academy of fine arts. At present, he is executive editor in chief of China oil painting magazine, member of China Artists Association, director of China oil painting society, director of Tianjin Art Association, vice chairman of Tianjin oil painting society, Honorary Professor of South Dakota University, distinguished professor of Tianjin Academy of fine arts and Tianjin Institute of modern art, distinguished professor of Graduate School of China Academy of Arts, member of China Association for the promotion of democracy, branch of press and publication administration Deputy director of the Department.

Exhibition and award
