Ye ye (1911.5.24 ~ 2012.08.26), female, formerly known as ye Zhongyin, was born in Dacheng County, Hebei Province. She was a famous modern drama actor and was known as "drama queen" during the Anti Japanese war.

His husband Xiong Foshi is one of the founders of Chinese drama and the first president of Shanghai Drama Academy. Ye ye, who has been engaged in drama performance for 80 years, participated in the creation of Beijing People's Art Troupe, and is one of the most meritorious veterans of new China's drama industry. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, she played dingsisao in Laoshe's play Longxugou. She successively created Cuixi in sunrise, Siyi in Beijinger, song Haoxian in bright sky and other distinctive characters, which are deeply loved by the audience. Tigress in Camel Xiangzi is Ye Ye's last role on the stage.

Ye ye died in Beijing at 5:30 on August 26, 2012 at the age of 101.

Early experience

Born in a senior staff family, Ye was admitted to the Department of Chinese culture, College of Arts, Beijing Women's Normal University in 1928 and participated in progressive drama activities. In 1935, he was admitted to Nanjing national drama school and took part in performances such as "Di Si Niang", "sunrise" and "merchant of Venice". Her roles as Chen Bailu and Portia were well received.

After the outbreak of the Anti Japanese War, ye ye joined the angry tide drama club, performing "the Eve", "put down your whip" and so on. Later, he performed in Chongqing, such as "fight for freedom and peace" and "long live China". In 1938, he was employed by Sichuan Provincial drama education experimental school and participated in the school's affiliated demonstration troupe to perform Qin Liangyu, Sai Jinhua, the death of a famous actor and parasitic grass with Chengdu Opera Society. Later, he assisted Xiong Foshi in publishing the post of drama. In 1941, he went to Guilin to perform the last regret of the Ming Dynasty, the spring and autumn of the kingdom of heaven, Peking man and so on. In 1944, she played Marguerite in the camellia girls at the southwest drama exhibition, which was well received. After the victory of the Anti Japanese War, he taught performance and lines in Shanghai experimental drama school. Later, she was hired by the audience performance company to play Empress Dowager Cixi in the Qing palace history. In addition, he also made films such as reunion and cliff love. In 1950, he participated in Beijing People's Art Theater.

Ye Ye's performance is real, simple and distinctive. In 1953, she created working woman Ding sisao excellently in Longxugou, known as the "drama queen" of Anti Japanese war drama, and was elected as the people's representative of Beijing by the masses of Longxugou district. Since then, she has created a variety of stage characters in sunrise, clear sky, Beijinger and three sisters. He left the stage in 1966 because of illness. In 1986, she took part in the shooting of the TV series "bell and Drum Tower" and played the role of Granny Ren Hai, which won high praise. Ye Ye is the fourth sister-in-law of Ding in Longxugou.

Ye Ye is a member of the Chinese Dramatists Association. He was a member of the Arts Committee of Beijing People's Art Theatre, a director of Beijing Federation of literary and art circles, and a deputy to the 1st to 5th Beijing Municipal People's Congress.

Ye ye and many well-known writers, poets, dramatists and scholars used to be very good friends, including Mao Dun, Tian Han, Liu Yazi, Ouyang Yuqian, Xu Beihong, Luo Binji, Guo Moruo, Lao She, Cao Yu, etc., who had a great influence on her life. Ye ye made a great contribution to China's Anti Japanese war drama movement, and was known as the "drama queen" of Anti Japanese war drama performance.

Death

Ye ye, one of the best actresses in China's drama industry and a famous performing artist known as the queen of drama, died at Beijing longfu hospital at 6 a.m. on August 26, 2012 at the age of 101.

Acting experience

In 1949, ye ye came to Beijing to participate in the establishment of the Beijing People's Art Theater. Entrusted by the party organization, he invited Mr. Jiao Juyin to direct Lao She's new work "Longxugou" for the newly established Beijing People's Art Theater, which started with a bang. When "Longxugou" entered Zhongnanhai, Chairman Mao Zedong watched the performance and gave it a high evaluation.

At the beginning of the founding of the Academy, ye ye invited Mei Qian, Dong Xingji and others to work in the theatre, and proposed to recruit a group of outstanding talents, such as Ying Ruocheng, who had just graduated from Tsinghua University, into the theatre through the examination. These people became outstanding artists. In Beijing People's Art Troupe, ye served as a member of the Art Committee and the leader of the cast team. On the stage of Beijing People's art, with her rich stage practice and superb performing art skills, she has played a series of stage characters, such as Cui Xi in sunrise, Si Yi in Beijinger, Hu Niu in Camel Xiangzi and eldest sister in three sisters. When she was 80 years old, she also wrote some theoretical articles, such as "several problems in the practice of drama art", "Discussion on the creation of characters".

May 24, 2011 is Ye's 100th birthday. Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, sent flower baskets and birthday peaches. Liu Qi, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party committee, and Liu Yunshan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, all sent congratulatory letters to Ye's 100th birthday.
