Zhu Yongtao (1940-1999), male, Han nationality, from Nantong, Jiangsu Province, CPC member, professor and doctoral supervisor. He studied in English Department of Beijing Institute of foreign languages from 1960 to 1964 and worked in the University in 1964.
Character experience
From 1973 to 1974, he studied at Bath University in England; from 1984 to 1986, he studied at the University of Virginia and obtained a master's degree in American history; from 1991, he was invited to work at the Smithsonian Institution; from 1993 to 1994, he studied American history and culture at Princeton University as a Fulbright visiting scholar.

He participated in the creation and development of American Studies in Beijing Foreign Studies University, and offered courses such as American history, 20th century America, American historical studies, and American cultural studies for postgraduates.
