Chen Zhenhua
Chen Zhenhua, male, from Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Born in October 1945. In 1986, he graduated from powder metallurgy of Central South University of technology and obtained a doctor's degree. He was the first doctor of powder metallurgy trained by himself in China. He was awarded the honorary title of "doctor of China who has made outstanding contributions to socialist construction" by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the State Education Commission. In 1988, he was promoted as a researcher by Central South University of technology. Since July 1991, he has enjoyed the special allowance of the State Council and was awarded the honorary title of "young and middle-aged expert with outstanding contribution" by the Ministry of personnel of the people's Republic of China. In 1993, he was awarded doctoral supervisor by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. In January 1994, he founded the Research Institute of non-equilibrium materials science and engineering of Central South University of technology as the director. He has studied in Tohoku University and Tokyo University of technology as a visiting researcher. Since October 2000, he was introduced by Hunan University, responsible for the establishment of the school of materials science and engineering, and served as the president. He is now a professor and doctoral supervisor of Hunan University, director of China Society of mechanical engineering, editorial board member of Journal of Hunan University and mechanical engineering materials, and part-time professor of Guangxi University.

In 2002, he was awarded the honorary title of "excellent expert of Hunan Province" (the first batch) jointly by Hunan Provincial People's government and Hunan provincial Party committee. The main research fields are: rapid solidification and spray deposition technology, discovery and development of quasicrystal alloy, semi solidification processing, mechanical alloying and other fields have made important creative achievements and contributions, solved some key scientific and technological problems in these fields, and obtained important intellectual property rights. He has successively presided over more than 30 national, ministerial and provincial major and key projects. The research achievements have won the third prize of the National Technological Invention Award, the fourth prize of the National Natural Science Award, the first prize of the Ministry of education technological invention award and 12 second and third prizes of other ministries and provinces, 10 invention patents and 4 pending applications. More than 450 academic papers have been published, and more than 280 have been included by SCI and EI. Five books have been published. More than 60 postgraduates have been trained. He has won the honorary titles of "advanced scientific and technological workers in Hunan Province", "excellent teachers in Hunan Province", "advanced scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions to the national defense construction" and "advanced scientific and technological workers who have made significant contributions to the coordination of national defense and military industry". He was a candidate for academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2005 and 2007.
