Early experience
When he was 9 years old, Chen Shanbao's fourth aunt brought him a Sony Walkman from Hong Kong. His aunt who worked in the audio and video factory often brought him cassette records. Listening to popular songs from Hong Kong and Taiwan became his "necessities of life".
At the age of 13, Chen Shanbao liked Huang Jiaju very much and held "concerts" at home every weekend. At that time, he didn't buy a guitar. Chen Shanbao used daily necessities to make guitars, MIC floor stands and other musical instruments.
During junior high school, Chen Shanbao loved martial arts and music very much. He often took part in sports competitions and singing competitions in school and won the first and second place many times. In 2005, he was admitted to the Songkou middle school music class because he was a few points behind in the entrance examination. He insisted on going back to Songkou middle school for one year and formed SK band with his friends. During this period, he cooperated with China Mobile and accumulated rich performing experience in participating in many performances. In 2009, he was admitted to the Music Department of Guangdong Vocational College of literature and art to study with Professor Li Xiaolong.

In August, the first Hakka original single "I love Hakka" was released. On December 27, "Chen Shanbao's dream concert 2011" was held in Meizhou radio and television station, which attracted the attention of the media and Hakka people. On December 30, he returned to Guangdong Vocational College of literature and art to participate in the graduation ceremony.
2012

Chen Shanbao's 2012 song club was held in Meizhou on December 30. The whole song club was conducted in the form of on-site production of China Radio International. It was hosted by Qi Jia, the anchor of Hakka voice. Chen Shanbao won the favor of many fans with his unique affinity and sincere emotion for Hakka music.
