Lu Jianhua

Lu Jianhua, male, Han nationality, born in July 1963 in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, an expert in communication and information systems, a professor in the Department of electronic engineering of Tsinghua University, Dean of the school of information science and technology of Tsinghua University, director of Beijing National Research Center for information science and technology, and deputy director of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

In 1981, Lu Jianhua graduated from Nantong middle school in Jiangsu Province; in 1986, he graduated from the Department of electronic engineering of Tsinghua University; in 1989, he graduated from the Department of electronic engineering of Tsinghua University with a master's degree and stayed in the university to teach; in 1998, he received a doctor's degree from Hong Kong University of science and technology. He was awarded the second prize of National Natural Science Award and National Technological Invention Award, and was awarded the title of "outstanding contributor to Chang'e-2 mission of lunar exploration project".

On December 7, 2015, he was elected as an academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences. in 2016, he was the dean of the school of information science and technology of Tsinghua University. on November 21, 2017, Lu Jianhua was appointed director of Beijing National Research Center for information science and technology. on April 18, 2019, Lu Jianhua was appointed deputy director of NSFC.
