Character evaluation
Jiang Shusen's works are not many, but the proportion of awards is relatively high. This not only reflects the director's skill, but also reflects her political sensitivity as a literary and artistic worker, as well as her righteous mind and feelings for the country and the people. In the movie No. 5 Garden Street, Jiang Shusen does not simply pursue artistic skills, but starts from the theme of the film and shows the ideological connotation of the work. In the way of expression of the film, Jiang Shusen makes full use of the metaphorical meaning and contrast of space-time forms to unfold history and reality in a rich level. As a female director, Jiang Shusen gives full play to her potential in directing films with female themes. In the film the power of women, Jiang Shusen places the heroine Lisa in the position of an ordinary person and shows her all-round life to show the real sense of the characters, thus abandoning the idealistic depiction, reflecting the fresh, simple, concise and lively artistic tone, focusing on revealing the inner world of the characters (online review of Chinese civilization).
