Chen Hongyi
Chen Hongyi, director. Graduated from the Philosophy Department of Taiwan University, he is engaged in the creation of experimental films, theater images, videoart, etc. He is now the director of the red production Institute, and is a full-time director of TVC, MV and channel packaging. His masterpieces include "Kaixi oolong tea new human series", "flower ate the girl" and "disappear to see".
In June 2017, his feature film "self portrait" won the Gold Award for best picture at the 10th Granada International Film Festival in Spain.

Graduated from the Philosophy Department of Taiwan University, he is engaged in the creation of experimental films, theater images, videoart, etc. He is now the director of red society films and a full-time director of TVC, MV and channel packaging. Since 1993, he has been the director of TVC's "Kaixi oolong tea new human series", which has been shortlisted for Cannes advertising award. He has directed famous advertisements such as stimmer and ZTE department store, and has won many advertising awards in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Asia Pacific region, mobils advertising golden image award, and has been selected into international awards such as British shot and German arch. In addition, his MV works have won many important music awards in Taiwan. In 2008, he participated in the "Taiwan spring" project and directed the film "flowers eat that girl" for the first time. Chen Hongyi's works reflect his strong perception of aesthetics. He keeps improving every shot and pays close attention to every detail, just as he keeps improving his skills.
He has two unforgettable commercials, one for Stimorol gum and the other for Sunrise Department store. The extreme beauty in these two commercials is suffocating, and there is a sharp edge to touch the nerves in the pure. He began to develop his philosophy when he studied philosophy at NTU. At NTC, he not only increased his academic knowledge, but also laid a solid foundation for his study. After this aesthetic perception is transformed into visual expression, it bursts out of vitality.
I suspect that few people can make TV ads so experimental, and no one is still persuading their customers to accept their concepts. Director Chen hung-i succeeded in all of the above, not only making experimental visual performance in TV ads, but also making the audience accept the experiment itself. Only great courage and skilled skills can achieve such a feat.
