anecdote
Among the three great wall princesses, Xia Meng, the eldest, and Shi Hui, the second, both married the children of St. John's University. To a certain extent, Xia Meng and Shi Hui are very similar. They are both left leaning and smart people. Moreover, both of them are good at choosing husbands. Xia Meng chose Lin Baoqi, a modest Confucian businessman, and treated her like a pearl all her life. When the second princess Shi Hui met her husband Fu Qi, Fu Qi just started filming, so Shi Hui was his elder martial sister On March 6, 1954, Shi HUICAI married Fu Qi at the age of 20.
Shi Hui's life experience is also strange. Her original name is sun Huili. It's said that she is the illegitimate daughter of Sun Yat Sen's son and grandson, but it's also true. It's just that Shi Hui's family is quite good. She has been taught by a famous teacher since she was a child. She can play the piano and sing opera. She can sing classical opera in Italian and dance ballet. She is also good at calligraphy. After middle age, she began to learn oil painting. In short, she is extremely versatile. There is not much to say about Shi Hui's acting career. One of her most famous things is that as a movie star, she even went to prison.
During the June 7th uprising in Hong Kong in the 1960s, Shi Hui and Fu Qi were leaders of the Revolutionary Committee. In the early morning of August 15, 1967, they were arrested by the Hong Kong police at their home in another village and imprisoned for more than years. It is said that Shi Hui is strong in prison. Every time she hears that a new person is in prison, she will sing "my motherland" to give her spiritual support. When Fu Qi hears that the Hong Kong British government wants to deport them, he immediately yells: "who sent me to Taiwan will get a corpse!" After that, they were forcibly repatriated to the mainland by the Hong Kong British government. At the Chinese border of Luohu bridge, they yelled: "Hong Kong British persecuted Fu Qi and Shi Hui and wanted to deport them. In fact, they don't care whether they leave or not, because Hong Kong is also Chinese territory." They stood on the Lo Wu Bridge for more than 20 hours and refused to leave the boundary of Hong Kong. The classic scene that Hong Kong people remember most is Shi Hui standing at the head of Luohu bridge with a red book in her hand. In the end, Shi Hui and Fu Qi stayed in Hong Kong and were detained in Motianling prison for one year, which triggered a series of diplomatic disputes between China, the United States and Britain.
Every time a reporter asks about Shi Hui's soul stirring past, the heroine of the story always says with a cool face: "life is a stage by stage. It's gone when it's gone. She doesn't think much about it any more." In the 1980s, Shi Hui and his wife became the most representative figures in the left-wing film companies. Later, Fu Qi began to do business. In the 1990s, they immigrated to Canada and lived a good life in the world. Once a year, they always take a cruise to see places they haven't been to. If they stay in Vancouver, they have more entertainment. Fu Qi plays tennis, Shi Hui writes, paints, reads novels, pursues mainland TV series together, makes an appointment with friends once a week, opens three or four stations, and plays Shanghai mahjong together.
The farther away they are from politics, the more free they are in their old age. The only thing that can show their left style is about, "now I watch TV at 5:30 every day and watch CCTV news.
