Born in Cixi City, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province in 1978, he graduated from the Chinese Department of Zhejiang University (now the school of media and international culture of Zhejiang University) and studied with Hu Zhiyi, a famous scholar of drama culture. After many years of graduation, he entered the Photography Department of Communication University of China and Beijing Film Academy, majoring in journalism and cinematography. He has worked as a news photographer, TV program host and producer, documentary director and cinematographer. He has created hundreds of documentaries and a large number of TV and film works. He learned from Chen Xiaoqing, a famous Chinese documentary producer.
Now he is a professional filmmaker and director.
