Qiao Zhen, born in Shanghai on November 17, 1942, graduated from the performance Department of Shanghai Academy of drama. Acting artist, national first-class actor, enjoying special allowance from the State Council, director of Shanghai film translation factory, part-time professor of Communication University of China, honorary chairman of reading Committee of Chinese Culture Promotion Association, former vice president of China Film Foundation, member of presidium of China Film Association, vice chairman of Shanghai Film Association, member of 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th (9th and 10th) Standing Committee of Shanghai Municipal People's Political Consultative Conference Committee.

He has won the titles of "100 excellent artists of Chinese movies in the past century" and "my favorite male dubbing actor". In 2002, he was named "the leader of translation art". In 2017, he won the "Centennial new poetry Contribution Award - recitation Contribution Award", in 2018, he won the 14th "national Lifetime Achievement Award for both virtue and art", and the "Lifetime Achievement Award for Chinese speakers" of the Chinese Culture Promotion Association. On September 7, 2019, he won the special honor award in the 17th Academy of Film Performing Arts Award.

Early experience

Qiao Zhen graduated from the performance Department of Shanghai Academy of drama in 1965 and joined the Shanghai Film Studio as an actor in the same year.

In 1975, he was an actor and director of Shanghai film translation factory. He was the director of the factory from 1984 to 1986.

Acting experience

He has been the main dubbing actor of the translated films such as "the broken blue bridge", "yesenia", "the beauty trap", "love and death", "the story of yinjiro", "Anna Karenina" and so on, and the director of the translated films such as "Campbell kingdom", "Robin Hood", "sonata by the lake", "three nineteen steps". Sixteen of them won the government award and Huabiao award, and two won the Golden Rooster Award at the same time.

His works include "master craftsman: the 50th anniversary of Professor Yu Zhongjia's medical career" (1995), "resource regeneration" (1988), "Three Gorges Project" (1988), "Night Shanghai" (1999), "Chinese civilization" (1999), among which "pursuit", "Tess" and "national interest" won the excellent foreign translation Film Awards of the Ministry of culture in 1979, 1982 and 1983 respectively.

Since 1980, he has starred in such feature films as "dead light on coral island" and "mystery of R4".

On May 4, 2009, the National Grand Theater held a large-scale poetry recitation of "red proverbs", in which Qiao Zhen was invited to attend.

On the evening of March 25, 2017, he was invited to participate in the 2017 Changzhou poetry fair of "love of the earth - marching in the footsteps of heroes".

On April 10, 2018, he was invited to participate in the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of Lu Xun art college.

On February 16, 2019, he will lead the performance of the classic poetry recitation concert of "several romantic figures" in Shanghai Grand Theater.

In May 2009, Qiao Zhen suffered from hemifacial paralysis due to brain block and was unable to speak for a time. After treatment in Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, her condition improved and she was transferred to Hangzhou for rehabilitation treatment in late July. On January 29, 2012, Qiao Zhen attended Kefan's listening program and was interviewed by Cao Kefan, the host of the program. He and Ding Jianhua recited poems together, which completely restored the style of the past.
