Xu zenghong, director, screenwriter, photographer, action designer. Shanghai people.

Born in Shanghai in 1935, he settled in Hong Kong from Shanghai in 1949. He began to work as a photographer's assistant for Luo Junxiong in Nanguo film studio. Two years later, he signed a contract with Xinhua film company as a photographer. His first film was "the girl picking watermelon" directed by Jiang Nan.

Personal experience

Born in Shanghai in 1935, he settled in Hong Kong from Shanghai in 1949. He began to work as a photographer's assistant for Luo Junxiong in Nanguo film studio. Two years later, he signed a contract with Xinhua film company as a photographer. His first film was "the girl picking watermelon" directed by Jiang Nan.

In 1964, Xu zengheng joined Shao as a photographer, screenwriter and deputy director. He wrote a dime directed by Li Hanxiang, and served as deputy director in blood splashing peony red directed by he Menghua and tiger swordsman annihilation directed by Zhang Che. In 1965, he signed a director's contract with Shao and was promoted to director. For the first time, he became one of the main characters of Shao's new martial arts films. Later, he directed many films, such as Qin Jian en Qiu, Shen Jian Zhen Jiang Jiang, Qi Xia Wu Yi, Yu Mian Fei Hu and Xiao shiyilang.

In 1971, Xu zenghong left Shao's family and went to Jiahe to direct the Chinese version of the movie "one armed sword vs. blind man", which was jointly produced by Jiahe and Japanese actor Shintaro (Japanese version is by Yasuda). In the same year, Jiahe supported him to set up a hard-working film company in Taiwan, and set up films such as "one husband in charge", "two heroes of Chivalry", "one jiao, two Qiao, three more wonderful".

In 1980, Xu zenghong returned to Hong Kong and worked as a manager of Tiangong printing company. He now lives in Taiwan.
