Personal experience
He has been engaged in clinical work of general surgery for more than 30 years at home and abroad. He has the professional qualification of general surgery experts in the British Commonwealth and has been engaged in clinical practice of surgery in western developed countries for 12 years. In 2005, he was introduced by Shandong University as a special talent. He is now a professor of surgery of Shandong University, director of Institute of endoscopic minimally invasive surgery of Shandong University, deputy director of Institute of hepatobiliary vascular surgery of Shandong University, chief physician of hepatobiliary surgery, academician of American International College of surgery, member of Surgery Committee of New York Academy of Sciences, academician of Australian College of surgery, and scarless surgery of Shandong Medical Association He is the chairman of the medical branch, the specially invited reviewer of cancer letter and Asia Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology, and the deputy editor of progress in modern Chinese general surgery and the editorial board member and reviewer of cancer and other domestic journals. In 2008, he won the fifth "Chinese doctor Award", and in 2009, he was rated as the "top ten doctors" of Shandong Province, acting as the torch bearer of Beijing Olympic Games. In 2011, it was rated as the first "top ten famous doctors" in Shandong Province. Professor Niu Jun, under the guidance of famous Chinese surgical experts Li Zhaoting and Shou Nanhai, is good at the diagnosis and treatment of liver, gallbladder, pancreas, gastrointestinal, breast and thyroid diseases. During the master's degree, the developed cleaning system of choledochofiberscope lithotripsy obtained the national scientific and technological achievement certificate, and was recommended by all members of the Department of surgery and awarded the doctor's degree, becoming the first medical doctor trained in Shandong Province after the founding of the people's Republic of China.
Main achievements
In the early 1990s, laparoscopic surgery has just emerged in the world. Under the guidance of Professor Shou Nanhai, a famous surgical expert, Professor Niu Jun led the general surgery department of Qilu hospital to take the lead in successfully completing the first TV laparoscopic cholecystectomy in a top three hospital in China. Therefore, he is known as the "first person of endoscopic minimally invasive surgery" in Shandong Province. Simple laparoscopic cholecystectomy can not solve the common problem of bile duct stones in Chinese people. For this reason, Qilu hospital once again established a scientific research team led by Professor Niu Jun to continuously tackle key problems, and successfully established "laparoscopic common bile duct incision, choledochofiberscope lithotomy, T-tube drainage and cholecystectomy". This achievement not only made up for the deficiencies of laparoscopy technology in the world at that time, but also reached the international advanced level after searching and appraisal by international authoritative institutions. This new endoscopic minimally invasive surgery has not only won the provincial science and technology progress award, but also been officially included in textbooks at home and abroad, and has been widely used in the world. In 1993, Professor Niu Jun went to Australia as the world's only winner of the Royal Academy of Sciences surgical scholarship. Before going abroad, Niu Jun had won more than 20 provincial and ministerial awards, such as the National Gold Award for invention and the first prize for scientific and technological progress of Shandong Province, and was awarded the honorary title of "Chinese doctoral degree winner with outstanding contribution" by the State Council. During his stay in Australia, Professor Niu Jun passed the examinations of International College of surgery (USA) and Australian College of surgery from 1995 to 1996, and was qualified as an expert in general surgery. In 2002, he became a member of the New York Academy of Sciences. For more than ten years, he has been a tumor surgeon in Maat Hospital of University of Newcastle, a senior physician in upper gastrointestinal surgery in Prince Alfie hospital and Union Hospital of University of Sydney, a senior physician, doctor, postdoctoral and senior researcher in general surgery of Australian National liver transplantation center, Royal Newcastle Hospital of University of Newcastle and John Hunt hospital, and the head of surgical oncology research center of University of Newcastle I'm a scientist. In 2005, he responded to the call of the motherland and returned home with full enthusiasm. after returning to China, Professor Niu Jun presided over a series of studies on integrin α V β 6 and gastrointestinal cancer, published more than 20 SCI papers with the highest impact factor of 7.135, and was cited more than 200 times, published more than 40 papers in domestic core journals, and applied for 14 international patents. From 2007 to 2009, he won the second prize of science and technology progress of Shandong Province for three consecutive years. with the development of minimally invasive technology and the improvement of patients' requirements, a new generation of minimally invasive surgery, natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (notes), which is more perfect than laparoscopic surgery, emerges as the times require. This kind of operation through the human body natural cavity into the abdominal cavity soft endoscope, under the guidance of endoscope, using special instruments to complete the operation, so as to achieve no scar on the abdominal wall, postoperative pain lighter, more beautiful minimally invasive effect, realize the human dream of abdominal surgery without incision for a century. Notes is a human chemistry department which combines the advantages of endoscopy and laparoscopy, and pursues the perfect combination of physiological and psychological minimally invasive. The advent of notes surgery in 2007 immediately ignited a new revolution in the global medical community. Notes is recognized as another new milestone in the history of medical development, and will lead the development trend of minimally invasive surgery in the 21st century. Notes is not only highly concerned and actively participated by clinicians, but also more in line with the wishes and pursuit of patients, and has been highly respected and actively responded by the majority of patients. In 2008, Time magazine listed notes as one of the top 10 technological breakthroughs of the year. in order to meet the great challenge of this "third generation" new surgical method, Qilu hospital once again organized a joint scientific research team with hepatobiliary surgery as the core, combined with Gastroenterology, obstetrics and Gynecology, anesthesiology and other related departments in 2007. On May 24, 2009, Professor Niu Jun, under the leadership of a new generation of young doctors, successfully carried out the first notes transvaginal endoscopic cholecystectomy in Asia, based on the successful completion of the notes experiment of animal model via stomach, vagina and colon approach. On August 14, 2009, the first transvaginal endoscopic appendectomy in Asia was successfully performed. The team led by Professor Niu Jun has successfully completed the natural lumen endoscopic surgery with the largest number of cases reported in the world. After hearing the news, many domestic academicians unanimously agreed that Professor Niu Jun had been invited by the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan to give academic lectures and surgical demonstrations, and agreed that the research results had been in the international advanced ranks in the field of natural cavity endoscopic surgery. In 2010, the project "animal experimental research and clinical application of endoscopic surgery through natural lumen" hosted by Qilu hospital won the first prize of science and technology progress in Shandong Province, and the scientific research papers have been accepted and published by surgendosc, the world authoritative journal in the field of minimally invasive surgery. Professor Niu Jun has undertaken two National Natural Science Foundation projects and a number of provincial and ministerial scientific research funds, and has undertaken a number of cooperative research with the University of California, Hamburg University, Newcastle University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong. As one of the "top ten scientific research pacesetters" of Qilu hospital, he has directed 2 postdoctors, 11 doctors, and more than 20 masters. From Qilu Evening News, August 20, 2010
