Taking the Anti Japanese war as the background, the film "on Taihang Mountain" tells the glorious course of the Eighth Route Army commander-in-chief Zhu De's newly adapted three main divisions of the Eighth Route Army crossing the Yellow River eastward, marching into the front line of Anti Japanese War and establishing Taihang mountain base. From September 1937 to May 1940, the film focuses on several major battles, from the great victory of Pingxingguan and the battle of Yangmingbao to the battle of Huangtuling, which killed the Japanese chieftain general Abe Guixiu. It positively praises the armed forces led by our party as the mainstay of the national anti Japanese War, reflects the correctness of the Anti Japanese national united front, and shows the flesh and blood ties between the Eighth Route Army and the people It created the glorious image of the older generation of revolutionaries such as Zhu De.
