Reporter: there are a lot of real blasting and fighting scenes in the movie strong west wind. As a special effect guide, how do you handle and grasp them?
Li Zhongzhi: when designing actions, whether they are doubles or actors, their safety is the biggest premise. First of all, experience is the most important. In terms of action design, every detail should be considered clearly, but many factors cannot be preset. For example, when shooting strong west wind, the weather was very cold, the actor's body was slow, but some scenes needed to be performed very fast. For the staff, keep a high degree of tension at all times. The action itself is dangerous. Many actors may not have done any action before filming. The action of each play is a fresh attempt for him. Doing the same action in different places has an impact on him. Before doing it, we should try our best to let the actors adjust their mentality and not despise every action. Especially the very easy action is more likely to be injured. Most of the dangers can be avoided, but some accidents are inevitable, because the action is not what you want to control.
Reporter: what measures do you usually take to prevent risks?
Li Zhongzhi: first, I'll show the stand in to the actor, and then I'll let the actor try it slowly. Second, whether the actor has the confidence to do the action. If he doesn't have the confidence, you insist on him to do it, and the actor is more likely to be injured. Finally, when I let the actor try, I should pay attention to his process, such as Duan Yihong's car jumping. The speed is very slow when trying, but when shooting, it's difficult It's a lot faster. If I make mistakes when I try, I won't let him do it. Now you don't have to work as hard as you did in the 1980s. Now you have computer special effects that you can make good use of.
Reporter: what do you think of "Selina and Yu Haoming's accidental burns"? From the perspective of professionals, where do you think the responsibility lies?
Li Zhongzhi: I heard that there were two layers of explosions at that time. It was necessary to blast the upper layer first and then the second layer after people left. It sounds very safe, but the potential danger of actors' actions was ignored. For example, what should we do if the blasting procedure goes wrong? If you put out all kinds of possibilities before shooting, the probability of accidents may be a little smaller. Because if the blasting goes wrong, it will not only affect the filming progress, cause the injury of the actors, but also bring about the loss of the cost. Sometimes even the whole play does not need to be filmed.
Reporter: for new people shooting dangerous drama, please give some advice?
Li Zhongzhi: many new people are very willing to do some actions. First, don't be too afraid. Second, don't do anything that you can't do. Even if you can do it, don't be too demanding, but don't be too timid. At present, both Hong Kong and the mainland have a lot of experienced guidance, and some actions can be tried with ease. Some people are afraid of getting hurt and will say, "why do I work so hard as an actor? But only when I have to pay can I get something.
