Ouwei

Ouwei (1936-1973), a Taiwanese actor, was born in Xinhua Town, Tainan. His original name was Huang Huangji. Ouwei won the best actor award of the 5th and 10th Golden Horse Awards for his hometown robbery and autumn duel. Although Ouwei was only 36 years old, he won five awards including Asian Film Festival and golden Horse Film Festival for 13 years. Ouwei was born in Xinhua Town, Tainan in 1936. His original name was Huang Huangji. After graduating from high school, he entered the film industry and worked as a field reporter and photo assistant in Huaxing film factory. In 1955, he starred in the Taiwanese language film "green hills and blue blood", and later changed the name of the character Ouwei to the stage name.
