Award winning record
Character evaluation
Lu Yan's performance is a combination of beauty, charm, luxury and solemnity, which makes Hollywood see a Chinese actor with different faces. She worked with American actors such as James Stewart and Marlon Brando to make films, and became a resident actor in American dramas at that time, opening a new era for Chinese actors in Hollywood. In the age of cultural estrangement between the East and the west, Lu Yan did not yield to the stylized performance and often argued for the objective shaping of the Chinese image. She is calm and natural, lovely and vivid, which makes Americans change their old ideas about Chinese women. Her achievements in performing arts and her contribution to cultural exchanges between the East and the West have earned her a reputation and status in the international film industry. Lu Yan has a mother like tenderness, tolerance and kindness, which radiates the orchid from the inside out. In the year of Zhang Dynasty, she should have loved her children and grandchildren, but she was like a never-ending traveler, reflecting the beautiful sunset with the grace of young people.
