Mo Qi
Mo Qi, born in 1937. Actor of Beijing Quju troupe, a famous double reed performing artist, has been engaged in quyi for decades and accumulated a lot of stage experience. His performance of the double reed has both the traditional style and the flavor of the times. In 1989, the performance of the double reed at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala was well received by the audience. He won the leading role award of the 11th Magnolia Award.
Career in art
Three years after graduating from junior high school, Mr. Mo Qi was admitted to the student class of Beijing quyi troupe in 1961. When he first came to the quyi troupe, he began to learn the funny drum in the form of a teacher leading an apprentice, and then played the double reed. From then on, he retired and worked in quyi performance for decades, bringing joy to the audience.
At the Spring Festival Gala of CCTV in 1989, Mr. Mo Qi's double reed performance was highly praised by the audience.
