Character evaluation
Influenced by the traditional film factory system in Hong Kong and the complete training of college education under the wave of new Hollywood in the United States, Bao Dexi integrated the film art and technology of the East and the West. Bao Dexi formally entered the film industry after he was 30 years old. With his artistic talent and strong creative power, he became a leader in the photography industry and made many classic Hong Kong films. Bao Dexi combined the visual imagination of Oriental magic with the movie special effects that were almost unknown to Chinese people at that time, creating a new pattern of Chinese movie vision. Because of this, the Oriental magic type is gradually familiar to the Chinese audience. In the movie crouching tiger, hidden dragon, Bao Dexi brings Oriental aesthetic, simple and freehand photography aesthetics to the extreme (Sina entertainment review).
