Kang Guoqiang's original name was Jin Zhao, and his pseudonyms were Lin ting and Zhang Guoqiang. In 1938, he joined the Communist Youth League of China. He took part in underground revolutionary activities in Putian mountain area. Soon, he became a member of the Communist Party of China.
