Liu Chengyu
Liu Chengyu, male, from Rongxian County, Sichuan Province. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. He is a doctor of Xiamen University and a postdoctoral of Sun Yat sen University. At present, he is professor and Dean of School of foreign languages, Southwest University, and doctoral supervisor of foreign language and literature. Liu Chengyu, male, from Rongxian County, Sichuan Province, is now the vice president, Professor, doctoral supervisor and CPC member of the school of foreign languages, Southwest University. He is a member of American language society. From July 2003 to June 2004, he visited the University of Illinois in the United States and studied syntax from Professor Abbas benmamoun. He has published more than 10 academic papers, 10 academic monographs, translations and textbooks in modern foreign languages and other domestic and foreign journals, and presided over or mainly researched 7 national, provincial (ministerial) and university level scientific research fund projects. The main research fields are functional linguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, stylistics and syntax.
