Character experience
In December 1968, Ren Yi and other educated youths from No.5 Middle School joined the ranks and settled in Jiangpu County at that time. In May 1969, Ren Yi and his alumni came to the classmate's place of Tangquan commune in Jiangpu County. There, Ren Yi was filled with homesickness when he heard the song "Tarim my second hometown" written by Nanjing educated youth Gao Shilong, who was jumping in line in Xinjiang. With everyone's encouragement, Ren Yi has a passion to create a song for educated youth. A few days later, the song of the educated youth attracted the attention of Jiang Qing and Yao Wenyuan, and made the instruction that "we should grasp the ideological class struggle, find out the author's situation, and criticize the black song". On May 24, 1970, after "mass discussion", the Nanjing Municipal Commission of public security, justice and military control issued the "report on the settlement of the current counter revolutionary criminal Ren Yi". Among them, Ren Yi listened to enemy stations for a long time, spread counter revolutionary remarks, and maliciously attacked the proletarian headquarters; he wrote the reactionary black song "lovely hometown", which spread widely and did great harm, seriously undermining the movement of educated youth to go to the countryside, and was extremely guilty. The conclusion of the CMC is: "after research, Ren Yi was sentenced to death and executed immediately. Please give instructions. " on June 6, 1970, Nanjing Municipal Revolutionary Committee signed the "approval form for handling cases". Fortunately, during the examination and approval of Jiangsu Provincial Revolutionary Committee at the last stage, General Xu Shiyou, the head of Jiangsu Provincial Revolutionary Committee, clapped his head as he examined the case file: "it's unreasonable for an educated youth to be sentenced to death for just one song." under the pressure of the gang of four, the veteran general pulled Ren Yi back from the gate of death. At that time, the other 24 people who were sentenced with him were all executed for committing counter revolutionary crimes, but he escaped from death and was sentenced to 10 years. On January 4, 1979, the Jianye District Court sentenced Ren Yi to "acquittal". So far, there are still 45 days left for him to serve nine years. Ren Yi continued to work in Chengdu Art Vocational College after retirement.
