Zhang Zhang (1920-1977), formerly known as Zhang Guiyun, female, Hui nationality, was born in the West Street of Guanxian County, Shandong Province. She came from an ordinary peasant family.

Life

In 1938, regardless of family obstruction, he joined the vanguard of Chinese national liberation and joined the Anti Japanese national salvation movement. In June of the same year, he joined the Communist Party of China and served as the director and organization Minister of Guanxian women's Salvation Association. After July 1939, he served as Deputy Secretary of the women's Committee of the Northwest Shandong prefectural committee of the Communist Party of China, director of the women's Salvation Association of the Northwest Shandong special region, deputy director of the women's Federation, and director of the women's Federation of the first division of Southern Hebei Province. He was engaged in women's work and made contributions to the Anti Japanese struggle. In October 1945, he served as the section chief of the Democratic Movement Department of the CPC Linqing prefectural committee. In January 1947, he served as the leader of the land reform and Party consolidation team of Linqing prefectural committee. After August 1948, he was transferred to southern Hebei Province to appoint secretary of the women's Committee, director of the women's Federation and member of the women's Committee of Hebei Province. She went deep into the countryside to build grass-roots organizations, mobilized and organized women to support the front line, and contributed to the war of liberation. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, we actively participated in the socialist revolution and socialist construction. In December 1949, he went south with the army to Hunan and served as deputy director of the Yiyang prefectural committee office of the CPC. In June 1950, he was transferred to work in Sichuan and successively served as the director of Luzhou prefectural committee office, director of Longchang prefectural committee office and organization director of the prefectural committee. During this period, she often went deep into the countryside, visited the poor, organized the masses to fight against tyranny, rent reduction and remand, and worked tirelessly to consolidate the new regime. In June 1954, he served as Deputy Secretary of Chengdu municipal Party committee, in charge of agricultural work. In 1959, when the style of exaggeration prevailed, we still adhered to the principle of seeking truth from facts, that is, to bear the pressure from the top and the complaints from the bottom. In the 1960s and 1970s, he was beaten as "Li Liao's best friend" and persecuted, but he never "exposed" others. In June 1973, he served as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee and deputy director of the Chengdu Municipal Reform Commission, in charge of organizational work.

Postscript

During her more than 20 years in Chengdu, she worked day and night for agriculture, rural work, organization and cadre team building until her last breath.
