Anecdotes of characters
Music Enlightenment
Min Huifen said that his peers began to learn piano at a very young age. Just after liberation, there was no one to learn music, especially folk music. It seems incredible that girls play erhu.
Min Huifen's hometown is Yixing, Jiangsu Province, which is the hometown of silk and bamboo in the south of the Yangtze River. She is attracted by silk and bamboo in the south of the Yangtze River, blowing and playing in the south of Jiangsu Province, various folk songs and tunes, and even the music of monks and Taoists all night when she was a child. Her infatuation with folk music has taken root in her young heart. Min Huifen was born in a musical family. His father min Jiqian is a pioneer of folk music, Liu Tianhua's second disciple, erhu, pipa, Sanxian and other Jiangnan Silk and bamboo can do anything. Among all kinds of national musical instruments, min Huifen especially likes erhu. Its charm lies in that it is very close to the feelings of Chinese people, and its timbre is like Chinese people talking and singing.
Min Huifen still keeps the erhu from her first study. It is a homemade erhu left by one of her father's colleagues after they got married and moved. The tube is covered with cheap toad skin. At the age of 8, min Huifen began to learn piano with her father. The old erhu made min Huifen's brilliant career in the future.
Diligent and studious
During the "Cultural Revolution", all kinds of music sounds of Shanghai Conservatory of music disappeared, the piano was smashed, the teacher was beaten as a "double agent" and put into a "cowshed". Min Huifen is still learning oriented, not only practicing erhu, but also Jinghu and violin. Zhang Qisong, a classmate in the Department of vocal music, once gave min Huifen an erhu record played by a blind man, an old folk artist. However, min Huifen didn't have a phonograph to listen to the record. Later, min Huifen went to Shanghai Film Orchestra for rehearsal, where he found a record room. When everyone left after rehearsal, he took out a Bing's playing records and listened to them. While listening, as like as two peas, she was listening to the music, and then she could hear the erhu and the record perfectly.
Min Huifen realized that she should have her own understanding of a Bing and her own understanding of life. She talked about the treatment of the middle part of Er Quan Ying Yue, which is not like some people's expectation and desire, but rather the indifference. Some people say that her bowing technique in playing Er Quan Ying Yue is very similar to the dry pen in calligraphy. She agrees with this metaphor very much.
special task
In 1975, min Huifen received a special task: recording a batch of Beijing opera singing for Chairman Mao Zedong. To play Peking Opera with erhu, we should not only develop the charm of Peking opera singing, but also maintain the characteristics of erhu. In order to master the characteristics of Peking Opera, min Huifen traveled to Beijing and Shanghai, seeking advice from Peking Opera masters everywhere, not only learning to sing by himself, but also carefully pondering the differences between different schools.
She used erhu to record a large number of Beijing Opera tunes, such as Xiaoyaojin, zhanhuangpao, Wolong diaoxiao, lianyingzhai and wailingpai. Min Huifen's artistic vision was greatly expanded by the success of Erhu playing Beijing opera aria, and she was interested in using Opera Aria to broaden the playing space of erhu. Over the years, she has not given up on the exploration of "instrumental vocal performance" except for the premiere of a large number of erhu music, such as "river water", "Capriccio of the Great Wall", "farewell to the new marriage", "deep night" and so on.
