Early experience
Li Xiaotian was born in Hong Kong in 1946. His original name was Li Tianying. He was a child star at the age of 5. His films include children's classic and pitiful parents' heart. At the age of 16, he went to England to study. In the 1960s, he served as the orchestra leader.
Acting experience
In 1973, he won the second place in the first "composition Invitational Contest" of TVB Hong Kong and began to compose and arrange music. Li Xiaotian
In 1975, he joined Li's TV and Xue Jiayan to host the variety show "Jiayan and Xiaotian" and released a record.

The second best soundtrack of Hong Kong film in 1989 won the best film composition award.
In 1995, he joined Huayu TV to perform with Shen Dianxia and Lu Haipeng. Later, the TV station changed its policy to fade out of the TV circle and set up an advertising production company in Beijing.
On May 22, 2005, he won the hall composer award of the 5th Chinese Music Media Award.
In February 2006, he presided over the music program "super good voice auditorium" of wireless TV. On November 3, at the 2006 cash anniversary dinner and Golden Sail music award ceremony, Li Xiaotian won the lifelong achievement award.
On October 18 and 19, 2007, two "ask me 30 years of Li Xiaotian concert" were held in Hong Kong Red Mansion.
On August 9, 2017, he won the hall musician Award for 30 years of the 2017 Chinese Golden Melody Award.
On February 17 and 18, 2018, two concerts of 50 years' works of Kota were held in Hong Kong Red Mansion.
At 7:55 am on December 1, 2019, Li Xiaotian died at the age of 73.
Personal life
Li Xiaotian's father is composer Li caotan, his mother is writer Yang Lijun, and his younger sister is modern choreographer Li Haining.
In 1982, Li Xiaotian married singer Guan Juying and divorced five years later.
