Lei Jun was born in Xiantao, Hubei Province in 1969. In 1987, he graduated from Mianyang middle school (now Xiantao middle school in Hubei Province). Start a business for the first time
Influenced by the entrepreneurial story in the fire of Silicon Valley, when he was a senior in University, Lei Jun began to establish three color company with his classmates Wang Guoguo and Li Ruxiong.
At that time, the product was a kind of imitation of Jinshan Hanka, but then a company larger than them appeared and pirated their products. Moreover, this company could make the same kind of products more in quantity and lower in price.
Three color company is struggling, not to mention the operation of the company, even if they are facing the situation of waiting for no rice in their life. Six months later, the company decided to dissolve. When counting the company's assets, Lei Jun and Wang Quanguo got a 286 computer and printer, and Li Ruxiong got a 386 computer.
During working in trice company, Lei Jun cooperated with Wang Guoguo to write the first official work of Lei Jun, bitlok encryption software, and set up Huang Meigui group.
