Zeng Jing (January 31, 1679-1736) was born in Yongxing County, Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty (now pujitang, Jiaotou village, dabujiang Township, Yongxing County). He is a student member of the county. He teaches as an apprentice and has a broad nature. He likes to talk about Taoism and has anti Qing thoughts. After Yongzheng emperor ascended the throne, Zeng Jing encouraged Yue Zhongqi, governor of Sichuan and Shaanxi, to fight against the Qing Dynasty. Yue Zhongqi immediately played on the song. Yongzheng emperor sent someone to arrest Zeng Jing, who confessed. Because of the involvement of many officials in the case, all the remains of LV liuliang were burned, his body was killed and his family was exiled. After Emperor Qianlong ascended the throne, he changed his charge to "slander the former Emperor" and was executed together with his accomplice Zhang Xi.
Life of the characters
When Zeng Jing took the examination in Jingzhou, he had to read the essays commented by LV liuliang, in which there were some words such as "prevention of Yi Xia". Zhang Xi of Hengyang sent a special trip to the LV family of Zhejiang Province to seek books. When liuliang died early, his son, lieutenant general Yi, handed over all his father's letters to Zhang Xi. Zeng Jing saw that many of liuliang's books were against the idea of restoring the Qing Dynasty to the Ming Dynasty, and he became more faithful. Because of his contacts with Yan Hongkui and Shen Zaiquan, the disciple of Hongkui, he wrote poems to give them a gift. In zhixinlu, written by Zeng Jing, it is said that "the land of the Central Plains sinks, the barbarians take advantage of the emptiness, steal the artifact, and turn over the universe"; "the difference between the Chinese and the barbarians is greater than the relationship between the monarch and the minister, and the difference between the Chinese and the barbarians is the boundary between man and things.".
Soon after Emperor Yongzheng ascended the throne, his younger brother Yinyi was under house arrest and sent to Guangxi. When people passed by Hunan, they spread the story of Yongzheng's plot to seize the throne. Zeng Shu heard that the Qing Dynasty had arrived, so he planned to overthrow the Qing Dynasty. Hearing that Yue Zhongqi, governor of Sichuan and Shaanxi Province, had a heavy army and was not trusted by the imperial court, he deeply doubted himself. He sent Zhang Xi to submit a letter to Zhong Qi and cited Yongzheng emperor's accusation to urge Zhong Qi to fight against the Qing Dynasty. Zhong Qi is playing on the fold. Emperor Yongzheng sent people to detain Zeng Jing and confessed. He was released to the capital, and Zhang Xi was released at the same time. Emperor Yongzheng began to realize that LV liuliang and others advocated the thought of Hua Yi, which had a broad foundation, while the rumors of Yin Yi and others were really a great disaster. As for Zeng Jing, he belongs to the "circuitous generation" of the folk songs, which is not a serious problem. In September of the seventh year, Emperor Yongzheng compiled his questions and answers with Zeng Jing as Dayi Jue Mi Lu. He sent senior officials to lead Zeng Jing to Jiangning, Hangzhou, Suzhou and other places to preach and refute the remarks of liuliang and Yinyi. At the same time, Daxing literary inquisition burned all the remains of LV liuliang. Although liuliang and his sons Baozhong and Hongkui died, they all killed the corpse owl. Yizhong and zakuan were executed. All the clansmen were killed, and their grandchildren were sent to ningguta as slaves. Huang bu'an often claimed to be a private disciple of Lu liuliang. Che Dingfeng and ding ben once printed Lu's books. Sun Yongke and Jing Yu privately collected Lu's books. All of them were punished and many of them died. In September of the 13th year of Yongzheng (1735), Qianlong ascended the throne, and in December of the same year (1736), he finally became "rebellious and vicious". Zeng Jing and Zhang Xi were executed on the ground of "great treason and immorality".
Mental journey
Zeng Jinggong: the most serious criminal was born in the border area of Chu. He had never been to Dadu, had never met literati, had poor knowledge, and had a narrow mind. He had only a little pedantic and good sense of ancient times. Lu liuliang's literary criticism is very popular in the world. Most of his articles take Yi's writings as Cheng's law and his meaning as the definition. He ridicules and slanders the imperial court and pretends the meaning of the spring and Autumn Annals to put it in Confucius' mouth, so he has to make fools believe it. Although he didn't know the origin of this dynasty's rule, he inherited merits from other sages. However, he was born in the reign of emperor Shengzu. Thanks to Emperor Shengzu's kindness, since his grandfather, he had no quarrel, no tyranny, recuperated, and enjoyed himself. There was no such saying in his heart. However, LV liuliang was surprised by the meaning, and thought that it came from Confucius. Although he didn't know who LV liuliang was, why didn't he believe in Confucius? He is simple and ignorant. He can't extricate himself from his mind. He thinks that scholars should take Confucius as the law when they study. How can he swallow Confucius' spring and Autumn Annals without taking care of such a big name. So hold this doubt, set up a rebellion and do not save.
Up to now, I think that the reason why I couldn't get rid of it at that time was that I didn't know the origin of the dragon's prosperity in this dynasty, and I passed on the achievements of Liesheng, so I was bound by the spring and Autumn Annals. If you know these two reasons, the name of this dynasty is right, and the great righteousness is graceful. It's about what is excluded in the spring and Autumn Annals. It has nothing to do with Guan Zhong's bustling, and it's not the case that he was arrested. The reason why he hated Lu liuliang is that he was born in the late Ming Dynasty and lived in the cultural area of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. I don't know about the achievements of this dynasty. With Yi's intelligence and talent, this dynasty is so graceful and righteous. I don't know that I should have expressed my righteousness to the scholars, so that the scholars all over the world can know the great achievements and virtues of this dynasty, be righteous and obedient, respect their relatives, and don't doubt Confucius' theory of spring and autumn. This is the justice of Lu liuliang. How can he hide this justice and not publicize it? He even hesitated to quote the meaning of the spring and Autumn Annals to offset this dynasty.
He not only recited the purpose of the Scriptures, but also restored the meaning of being a good person. He also talked about it in the scholars and left it to the country. Today, Shizi is engaged in writing. He knows that his speakers are not immune to his evil. However, there are only a few people who know more about the spring and Autumn period because of the severity of the illness. They hope that they can be self-confident, know what Lu liuliang said, and recover the meaning of the spring and Autumn period. Although Gai Ren knew that the merits and virtues of this dynasty were far greater than those of the Han and Tang Dynasties, he could not go back to Lu liuliang's theory. But holding on to the purport of the spring and Autumn Annals, it does not mean that the bad Dynasty is not a saint. It will slander Confucius for wrongly writing the spring and Autumn Annals. Before this grave crime, he made two personal confessions in Changsha to explain this meaning. Today, I think that it is the emperor's blessing to protect our Dynasty. I know that the justice of our Dynasty has been justified for a long time, and it has been concealed in the minds of the common people. Therefore, I explain this meaning in a zigzag way, so that all the world can respect and be related to each other, without any damage to the holy virtue and divine power of our Dynasty. Therefore, I must know this meaning just like the personal experience of Mitian's recidivism.
In the past, mistakes were actually caused by ignorance, but by believing in Lu liuliang's theory. Now, he has been enlightened by the holy edict, and then he thinks about his absurd and contemptible words. He also studies Lu liuliang's time, place, and his intellectual mind. He knows that he is not ignorant but wrong, which is actually a deliberate slander. Therefore, in this dynasty, all the deeds that have actually been collected are hidden but not written. They only make up illusions to confuse people. They don't know how to eat the millet of this dynasty, how to live on the land of this dynasty, how to cultivate their descendants for decades, and how to repay the emperor's kindness without scruple. They regard each other as enemies. Today, his speech is all based on Zhang's words, showing off his anger, fierce and stubborn habits, while Fu Qi is hiding treachery and deceit, pretending to be sage, stealing the name of Neo Confucianism, and deluding people by deceiving the world. Since ancient times, there has been no such thing as Lu liuliang who harbors evil intentions, mutates scholars and frames good people. However, since the recidivist was guilty of believing in Lu liuliang's rebellious theory and listening to rumors by mistake, he thought about himself every night. Though he had no evil in his heart, the crime was hard to solve.
