Chen Zhen
Chen Zhen (formerly Shen Jihong and Chen Gaosheng) was born in Haimen, Jiangsu Province in January 1931. In 1959, he graduated from the Department of history of Peking University (five-year system, major in ancient Chinese history and Song History). He studied under the guidance of Deng Guangming, the main founder of the study of song history, specializing in the study of song history. Professor, Department of history, Nanjing Normal University, part-time researcher, research center of ancient Chinese history, Peking University. He has successively served as director of the Institute of history of Henan Academy of Social Sciences, member of the Council of Nanjing Normal University, deputy director of the academic committee of liberal arts and director of the Department of history, vice president of China Song History Research Association, and deputy editor in chief of "Liao, song, Xixia, Jin history" in Encyclopedia of China, Chinese history (First Edition).
