Rong Zheng is now the director of Chinese National Orchestra Society, vice president of Chinese flute professional committee, vice president of Hubei Bawu Hulusi society, honorary president of Henan flute and Hulusi society, deputy director, professor and master supervisor of Folk Music Department of Wuhan Conservatory of music. From 2002 to 2008, he was employed by the Ministry of culture as the judge of "Wenhua Award National Instrumental Music Competition" for three times.

Rong Zheng's parents are both famous opera actors, and his father is the inheritor of Hubei Chu opera's intangible cultural heritage. Therefore, during his growing up, he has been influenced by art since childhood, and has a deep accumulation and understanding of national art knowledge and charm. When he was 13 years old, he was admitted to the Chu opera music class of Wuhan drama school. While learning opera music and drama theory systematically and solidly, he began to learn flute playing skills from Mr. Kong Jianhua. In the next seven years, under the careful guidance of Mr. Kong Jianhua, Rong Zheng laid a solid foundation for his flute playing skills through his hard work. After graduation in 1984, he stayed in school to teach. In 1986, Rong Zheng was admitted to Wuhan Conservatory of music, majoring in flute. He studied under Mr. Li Xieqin. At the same time, he systematically studied a variety of music theory knowledge. He graduated with excellent results in 1990 and has been teaching in Wuhan Conservatory of music ever since. The Central Plains is one of the birthplaces of Chinese civilization. It has a lot of traditional culture and art of the Chinese nation. For thousands of years, Li Bai's vivid verse has been in harmony with the beautiful sound of the Central Plains flute. The Central Plains flute music created by Kong Jianhua, a great master of flute, has formed the artistic characteristics of integrating north and South performance techniques, based on the national and folk music melody, bold use of various creative techniques and rich creative themes, rich local style and blending of North and South techniques. when he was young, he learned from Mr. Kong Jianhua's Rong Zheng. Through years of performance, teaching, creation, scientific research and achievements, he has become a representative performer of the Central Plains flute music. Rongzheng's flute art is based on the style of Central Plains flute music, and at the same time combines the advantages of northern and southern flute music. It has solid performance skills, unrestrained and exquisite music performance, wide range of music performance, atmospheric stage style, calm and passionate, which better shows the artistic school of Central Plains flute music with "distinctive local style, fluent music language, strong dramatic color, and abundant emotional torrent" characteristic. Over the years, he has carried out many performing arts and foreign exchange activities. He has visited more than ten countries in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa, including Japan, France, the United States, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Egypt, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. In particular, in August 1999, he went to France with "Chinese chime Orchestra" to participate in the performance of "99 · Paris, Chinese Culture Week" sponsored by China's "Information Office of the State Council" and "Chinese Ministry of culture", and achieved a complete success. In November 2005, he planned and organized the National Flute grand meeting of "teacher student concert of Kong Jianhua's flute works" and "Symposium on Kong Jianhua's flute art", which were attended by representatives of 23 provinces and cities. After formally putting the imitation of Wuyang bone flute in the new stoneware era more than 8000 years ago on the solo stage in China, he played Wuyang bone flute for the first time abroad, wrote relevant papers, and co wrote the first Wuyang bone flute solo "Wu Zhi Wu" with Professor Tong Zhongliang. Teaching achievement
Over the years, Rong Zheng has taught bamboo flute performance, Xiao, Cuan performance and National Chamber Music in the Conservatory of music, and trained a large number of professional students. Many of them have now become the backbone of colleges and universities or literary and artistic groups, and many of them have won awards in national folk music competitions. In 2003 and 2005, he was awarded the title of "advanced individual in teaching and educating" by Wuhan Conservatory of music twice. In 2006, he won the "instructor award of professional competition", and his national chamber music course was rated as "the most popular group class for students". In 2010, "flute professional course" was awarded "high quality course" by Wuhan Conservatory of music.
