Luo Xiaoci
Luo Xiaoci, born in 1974, is a zither soloist of Shanghai National Orchestra, a national first-class performer, and a former deputy head of Shanghai National Orchestra. At present, he is vice chairman of Shanghai Musicians Association, head of Shanghai National Orchestra, member of Shanghai Musicians Association, executive director of Guzheng Professional Committee of Shanghai Musicians Association, and vice president of Shanghai Youth Literature and Art Federation.
On the basis of inheriting the tradition, she broke the single playing mode and tried to present the rich connotation of Zheng by using a variety of artistic means. She integrated Chinese historical and humanistic spirit and artistic conception of painting and calligraphy into her Zheng music. She created and performed Zheng and Xiao rumengling, zheng music Moxi, Zheng song yujiaao and other works, which were well received in performances in Shanghai, Paris and Taipei.

Learn from famous masters
At the age of seven, Luo Xiaoci studied Zheng under the guidance of his father Luo Dingwu. Three years later, he studied under Deng Jie and Yan Aihua of Nanjing Art Institute. At the age of 13, he was admitted to the attached middle school of Shanghai Conservatory of music. Six years later, he was promoted to the Department of folk music of Shanghai Conservatory of music with excellent results. In the past ten years, he studied under Zheng educator and performer Guo Xuejun, he Baoquan and sun Wenyan. Meanwhile, he Zhanhao, Zhao manqin, Wang Zhongshan and other zithers also taught him.

In school, Luo Xiaoci showed his outstanding artistic talent. In 1989, she won the second prize of "art cup Chinese musical instrument international competition" and the third prize of "Oriental Cup National guzheng performance competition" held by the Ministry of culture in 1995.
Professional performer
After graduating from school and joining Shanghai National Orchestra in 1997, Luo Xiaoci began her career as a professional performer. In 1997, she was invited to participate in the 17th Shanghai Spring - shanghai taipei symphony concert.
