He was born in Pingxi County, Jiangxi Province from October 1952 to October 2017. In the 1990s, he became famous through Qigong. Later, he gradually interacted with many officials, stars and entrepreneurs. He was a Qigong performer.
Wang Lin claims to be able to use Qigong to do unique skills such as empty basin to snake, empty cup to wine and so on, as well as the special function of treating diseases for foreign leaders and senior officials. The magic circle exposes that Wang Lin's Qigong performance is actually magic. There are a lot of voices on the Internet questioning that Wang Lin is a liar and making money in the name of Qigong. Wang Lin claimed to be a qigong master, but he didn't say what school of Qigong he practiced and what evidence he had.
On July 22, 2013, the Beijing News reported that Wang Lin had a group photo with many senior officials and celebrities, which aroused attention. On July 28, CCTV's focus interview revealed Wang Lin's true face, which was later put on file for investigation by the Public Security Bureau on suspicion of illegal possession of firearms. In 2013, he fled to Hong Kong, and on December 16, 2014, Wang Lin fled to Hong Kong again to avoid huge debts. Zou Yong, Wang Lin's former "closed door disciple", said that in 2008, Wang Lin was his teacher. Wang Lin brought a Rolls Royce from Shenzhen. On June 22, 2014, nearly a year after his disappearance, Pingxiang local netizen "McDull who loves the sun" posted a message, saying: "Master Wang Lin recently appeared in Pingxiang Wugong Mountain scenic spot. Master Wang, who traveled with many friends, looked relaxed and his demeanor remained unchanged. It seems that he has gone out of the shadow of last year's negative news." In the group photo, Wang Lin is wearing black shoes, black trousers, a black polo shirt and a black suit with short sleeves. Left hand wristwatch, right hand beads, waist with a Golden Eagle Belt, and wear black sunglasses, with a few other people or walking in the green trees, or take a picture with the fence.
In the early morning of July 15, 2015, Wang Lin was arrested by Pingxiang police in Shenzhen on suspicion of kidnapping and murder. The victim of the case is Zou Yong, a deputy to the 12th National People's Congress of Jiangxi Province, who was a close disciple of Wang Lin.

He died of illness
